Treasure is built with client-side encryption, which means that every time a file leaves your device, it is encrypted with your unique key, and will never be seen or accessed in plaintext by any third parties. By working with Microsoft Azure for processing power, web application, and backend server. So then like any business that offers referral signup bonuses?

      • Agreed it’s common, and I’ve done this on Dropbox, but it shouldn’t be the focal point of the proposition.

    • They are usually garbage offering no ability to retrieve large amounts of data other than at snails pace.

      • It’s not lifetime subscription, but with prices like that.. one does wonder.
I’ve used some services where it’s so slow you have to leave it syncing for 3-4 weeks to upload more than 1 TB

Singapore based company, that means no privacy at all 😆

    • Don't mind people looking at my 4tb porn collection so that's fine

    • Nonsense. Your data is end-to-end encrypted with military grade ROT-13 algorithm.

First year discounts etc.. are all good but you need to know what to expected of future pricing.

Otherwise you end up storing heaps of data and risk getting whacked with a price hike after the discount period. Can always move it off but that's another round of effort

  • Any other storage option that anyone can recommend?

Just go with the big boys, Google, Apple, Microsoft, AWS, Dropbox, Box.

The problem with these unknown providers as you don't know how long they're going to be around for and even if they give you notice, how quickly & easily can you get your data off?

If you're just backing up the data on your home NAS it's not so bad, as you have a copy at home already.

Personally I use Google as Google Rewards credits pay most for the $120/yr cost.

How.much space are you looking at?

  • the only platform that lets you connect all your cloud storage accounts in a single place,

    What could possibly go wrong?
