Not VB formulae. It's the old Foster's lager …..not a bad drink if you like the style……Foster's was Australia's favourite beer 40 years ago then it went international and the rest is history ……
Someone, who had worked at the brewery, once told me that Crown is just Fosters Lager but Crown is filtered twice (once more than Fosters).
Man, it's crazy but these days with globalisation and all the breweries eating each other - what's in a bottle can change once a month.
Everyone this thread could be right about what's in crown or how it's made - for one period of time or another. And I wouldn't be surprised if it's completely different now, and in another few months.
@Grazz989: Doesn't seem to have changed since the 80's when I started drinking it. VB on the other hand has been all over the place for the last 20 years.

Fun fact. A mate worked at CUB in the late 80s (I worked at Ansett over the road).
Crown was the only one of the range they flushed pipes for. All the others, there could be mixed dregs of what was done on the last run.
I loved the smell of that building after night-shift.

But seriously, I've had Crownies that were a coupe of years over expiry, tasted no different if not better. :)

It's obviously not about cramming the beers in before an arbitrary date gets crossed.
Fresh beer, most people agree, tastes better than old. The best before isn't a hard line where the beer tastes perfect one day and stuffed the next, it's just the date the manufacturers reckon the customers will start complaining enough to care about.

100% IPAs are god-awful to my palate and apparently cheaper to make as well, hence why craft breweries love it so much.
IPAs are much (like a shit-load) more expensive for ingredients but they don't get lagered so free up space for more brews.

Had very bad experience with this ebay seller. Paid the money and but seller never sent the beer. I missed the two months ebay deadline to request refund. Since then, this seller did not reply to any messages.

I had a carton go missing once (not these guys), it was sign on delivery, they claimed it was signed for, but it wasn't. After a bunch of hassle they sent me one properly, I think the delivery guy was pinching stuff.
