What… out of an Engadine-style bathroom or a curry stained kitchen?

When do you use these? Answer: Definitely not when the pan is still slightly hot as my melted scraper indicates.

    • +2

It’s made for cleaning the pans once cool without damaging the seasoned surface.

What are the advantages over just using a wooden spoon?

    • +4

These go all the way to the corner edges of my pans, they also have a somewhat sharp edging you can really dig into tough stains.

      • +1

Also they work much better than spoons for scraping flat surfaces.

I use a bamboo spatula with a flat end. It works perfectly. They're only a dollar or two and last a few years.

be negged for providing a helpful opinion you barbarian

@Jackson: I know, I'm going to make it even worse and point out that it doesn't matter if you use them when the pan is still hot! In fact, it can help a bit.

            Bring it on!!!

It’s been this price for months, not really a deal when you add in delivery. It would be a bargain during the free international shipping with no min spend with Prime promo last month.

      Free with prime…

My error. I got that one wrong. I thought this was from the US.

  • Genuine question: How are these any different to a stainless steel scourer? It is what I have been using for my lodge. Is it not recommended? Is it bad for the cast iron??
PS- As per ozbargain policy (buy now think later) I have already bought it but curious to know lol😷😬 There we’re 5 left when I ordered

    • If you use stainless steel scourer, it might remove the coating, though you can just seasoned it again.
This is just scrapper to help remove stuck food, but make sure your cast iron is not hot.

      • Thanks @blueboy. Appreciate your time to respond :)

  • Shows $11.45 for me

Impressed after I bought a pair, I gave several of these as stocking stuffer gifts a couple of Christmases ago. Every recipient has raved about how good they are.

    • What do they do with them? (Apart from Engadine antics)

  • I just use an old credit card. Works fine.

    Sounds like a scam

  • Any reason why to go with that brand in particular?

I'm seeing this and this is also 2 pack and cheaper https://www.amazon.com.au/Scraper-Non-Scratch-Plastic-Skille…

  • I took a punt on a scourer + scraper combo: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09DBC7W85

These saved my life in the poo-paper crisis of 2020

You didn't use the 3 sea shells?

  • +1

I use the scraper built into the back of my $3 Coles dish brush.

    • Exactly. I use the chux wand for regular dishes and just use the back of it for my solidteknics. The scraper is hard enough to get the solids and then paper towel the rest.
