Rep recycled the Amazon listing so the ratings/reviews are for a different product.

Yeah lol, a bit sad really

I have owned a few different wireless earbuds and these Soundpeats Truengine SE

  • Are MSJ Audio a different mob from AMR Direct?

    • for some reason, we will pass all our products to the new store MSJ Audio, hope you can understand

      • +4

        OK.

Can you explain to us why you don't create a new listing for new products? The reviews for each listing are a mix of different models, so at best they're not useful for a particular product; at worst they are seriously misleading.

        • +1

Because they did it (misleading customers) on purpose. Of course they won’t admit to it.

  • I love my Soundpeats, but hard to justify at the moment in light of the recent giveaway pricing on Taotronics.

    • I thought Taotronics were banned on Amazon.. Admittedly I am too lazy to open up another tab in my browser and check for myself.

  • Ooh, finally got the mini pro…

How do these compare to the Edifier Neo Pro? Decent price difference.

  • Watched Flossy Carter's review on these a few weeks ago and almost pulled the trigger. He gives them a "major Major MAJOR GO!". Grabbed a pair today, can't wait to try them out tomorrow.

17 minutes of Video with no proper ANC/ outdoor/ Crowd test. That's one of the worst reviews I have seen.
Try these guys who actually do the testing without including pet cat(not sure if it was deliberate), just shouting about how good the product is.

He's entertaining (to me), that's what I take away from his vids. The cat "white shoes" is generally part of the show. His style separates him from the myriad of carbon copy reviewers who I also watched do reviews on the product.

        • Fair enough. each to their own.

          • @umansPrimitiveNature: I know what you mean though, he's not to everyone's taste. When I first started watching his vids, they seemed so "gangsta rap" but after a few, the style grew on me. It's probably because unlike polished tech youtubers he doesn't hold back his "actual" excitement or disappointment at a product to appear more professional.

  • Why are all images photoshopped and the earphones are "planted" in the ear?

  • I'm a bit confused about the hybrid noise cancelling on these. Is it just in action during calls, or does it block outside noise when listening to stuff (e.g. like ANC headphones do)?

  • Mini or Mini Pro will be better for voice quality on phone calls?

Edit: Bought the Mini Pro's, fingers crossed

  • To all those wondering. Th3se sound better than the airpod pros. Fit just as well. Last a bit longer. And cost $57.

    Can't go wrong.

I got mine yesterday. Sound-wise they're pretty good, but don't have the same bass punch as my Jabra 75t. I put a big part of that to not being able to get the same tight seal on my right ear as the jabras. I've tried different sizes and styles from my collection of spare tips, including my spinfits from the jabras but the design of the bud itself just isn't 100% compatible with the shape of my ear. Sound is still very much fine, just not as sealed as what I'm used to. A big plus though is they're light. Walking with them yesterday, barely noticed they were there.

    • Why'd you change from the 75t?

My 75ts died a few days ago and I'm now looking at these.

I'm always curious about other TWS earphones. Whenever a sale pops up here, I always check it out. As a result, I've bought a few sets from Amazon.
        1) Dudios S5 - sports, over ear hooks. Great sound for the price, I think about $15. I use these for cycling (one ear on)
        2) Dudios T8 - airpod style with a big stalk. Great sound for the price, <$15 on sale. These can be a bit buggy, so I keep them as spares in the car.
        3) Tozo NC2 - thicker stalk, bigger bud. Marketed for its ANC and they're pretty great at that. Got these I think $40. Use them paired just to study laptop.
        4) Soundpeats Mini Pro - smaller than the others. Very light in the ears. ANC equivalent to the TOZO, but passive mode is pretty useless.

I still have the Jabras. I'm using them paired to my work laptop. Huge bass. I'm using them with spinfit tips which are much more comfortable and better seal than the tips it came with. The soundpeats are lighter and don't feel like they're threatening to come out all the time like the jabras. YMMV

        • Awesome summary, appreciate it!

I pulled the trigger on the mini pro, let's see how we go.

Never had an issue with the jabras coming out. Just got lucky with those, they fit me out of the box and rarely need adjusting.

          • @underscore: I reckon you'll be very happy with the soundpeats. Sound good, comfortable, ANC is decent as well imo. If you bought from Amazon, you can always return within the 30 day window :)

            • @jigna27: They arrived Saturday so I've had a few days use now.

They are very light! Not quite as comfortable as the Elite 75t for my ears, though. Mostly comes down to fit - the mini pro doesn't quite feel secure.

The case is nice and small.

In terms of sound quality I actually prefer the soundpeats to the Jabra. A little less heavy on the bass and better separation and soundstage, at least to my ears. I really like the way they sound.

Call quality is a bit of an issue. People have complained that it's hard to hear me if when I've taken calls outdoors using the mini pro.

Biggest gripe though is that there's a constant static noise coming through the earbuds, even when nothing's playing. In a quiet room it's pretty annoying. Might be enough for me to return them, haven't decided yet.

Also not sure if it's just an issue with the ear buds I received or whether they all have the problem.

              • @underscore: "constant static noise coming through the earbuds"

Have you got the ANC or Passthrough on? These buds, unlike the Jabras, retain the setting you had it on before you put them back in the case. Jabara always reverts to the "nothing" on state.

                • @jigna27: @jigna27

That was my first thought as well, but it's there in all modes. It's actually most noticeable in normal mode. Also tried turning gaming mode on/off but it doesn't make a difference.
