My first post here - have been watching these earbuds for a while. On 8th March, it was still $149 and yesterday when I checked it went to $96.75. Pretty good reviews compared to NB2 Pro which seems to be on sale too ($82.49).

I have a pair of these and have owned and used the MTW, Jabra Elite 75t (with ANC), Buds+, NB2, Nuraloops and WFXM3. In case anyone wants some feedback here are my thoughts:
    Pros:
    - The Neobuds Pro have the strongest noise cancellation of the bunch I've owned and used. Not a massive difference in battery life so I tend to leave NC on.
    - They work well for a run and don't fall out.
    - Sounds wise (and I appreciate this is subjective) these are my favourite by far. I'll always reach for these over the rest. These are quite dynamic and very fun to listen to if you're into EDM etc. They sound as good as, if not better, than that the MTW.
    - These don't have as many random drop outs as the rest of the bunch.

    Cons
    - The biggest con for me is unlike the Jabra's you need to put them into the case and out again to turn them on. I find this annoying because my buds aren't always inside the case.
    - Wireless charging is still missing but thankfully charges via USB-C.
    - The app is a bit clunky compared to the others. A lot going on for various Edifier earbuds/headphones in addition to the one you're paired to.

    • Do you need the app to use any of the features?

      • +2

        Yes

      • +3

Yeah as DecoAus said - you'll need to use it at least initially to tweak the settings such as EQ, touch controls, to turn the buds off in case you aren't putting them into the case directly. But once you've set it up the way you want, you can probably get away without the app

Nice thoughts, you type faster than I do :)

Haha! Agree with your feedback too, though the High NC hiss for me is non existent..could just be me!

Got one of these in the kickstarter campaign mid last year and been using it since, this is a really good price as the NBP easily competes with other tws earbuds at 2x+ its price point imo.

    Pros:
    - Detail and resolution are pretty good, with EQ to personal preference it can almost sound on par with the XM3s
    - The fit is really good, Airpods pro-like
    - No connection issues for me, pair pretty much as soon as you take them out of the case
    - Relatively slim charging case
    - The noise cancellation is surprisingly good (although I use it on 'low noise cancelling' - there's a hiss with the high noise cancelling that I find forfeits any sound benefit)

    Cons:
    - Sounds pretty mediocre without EQ
    - The app is unnecessarily complicated, also flagged as potential malware by Android (if this means anything)
    - Touch controls are fiddly, super easy to end calls on accident when readjusting earbuds
    - No wind noise cancellation feature

The battery life is fine for what I use it for (around 4-5 hours at a time) and charges pretty quickly in the case. I like these a lot more than the Sony WF-1000XM3s, mainly because of the fit and smaller case, but the lack of wind noise cancellation may find these more suitable for the gym or indoors as opposed to running or outdoor sports. My recommendation for Android users is to install the app just to change EQ settings (Turn it off) and touch controls, then to use Wavelet to change the EQ which yields pretty good results. After a bunch of experimenting, I found that using the Auto-EQ for Moondrop Blessing 2, then adding a V-shaped tuning with a dip at 1096hz and rolled off sub-bass and highs fixes the otherwise bloated and mid-heavy tuning, while bringing out vocals, instruments and the already strong bass.

Not sure about alternatives as TWS earbuds are a bit hard to go around and try out, but can at least vouch for these to be pretty good under $100.

    • Can you turn off the touch controls? I hate that about my current earbuds that it's so easy to accidentally end a call.

      • +2

Yep, if you're not a fan you can just turn them off altogether.

This is an excellent deal. I purchased mine for $140 and even at that price thought they were punching above their price range. The presentation comes across as very premium starting from the effort of prettying up the packaging, to the inclusion of multiple earbud sizes, and the product itself not feeling cheap in the slightest which was surprising given Edifier being a budget brand.

From my experience this is one of the clearest sounding buds you can get until you start looking at the flagship models from the big brands, even then it keeps up pretty well. I found that my one issue is the default tuning is very bass heavy and needed to dial it down which is something I've never done. NC is excellent, but even passively these do just fine with the volume turned up.

I have used these a bit in the gym and have find them quite usable. I did find however when I began to sweat and pull faces while working out they'd begin to slide out. Also with the bits that poke outside of your ear, I find that I'd keep knocking them out when doing exercises over my head when my arms would brush against the side of my head.

I'm about to reteun a defective jabra 75T, is this edifier considered better in general ? things I like about 75t is the sound, but the ANC is a bit on the weak side for me, did some research on this and I'm quite tempting now.
Should I just exchange for another 75T or get this instead ?

    • +1

From fatmanrulz's comment, sounds like it :) I haven't tried the 75T but I at least know it blows the 65T out of the water, plus you're saving $50 or so.

      • +2

Thanks Jeo, just returned the 75T, not can't decide what to do :P Standing in front of post office making life decision lol

I have too many Bluetooth headphones and earbuds, but tempted to buy these

Does anyone know how do the mics perform (on Teams) please?

  • +1

I have had these from the Kickstarter campaign, AUD 130 delivered.

Pros: dual driver sound is way better than my old Edifier TWS NB, more nuanced in sounds and bass delivered not as muddy

Cons: Bass isn't as strong as the TWS NB. Hiss when high noise cancellation. LHDC starts having dropouts when you start changing it to above 500-600kbps (so keep it on that medium setting, not the best setting of 900kbps)

Look, to be honest, if you have original TWS NB or NB2 Pro, not worth the upgrade. The noise cancellation isn't that much stronger on the Neobuds Pro compared to the original TWS NB. At least you don't have hiss at all on the TWS NB.

  • My Xiaomi smartphone supports LDAC. Will these buds make use of that, or is LHDC something different altogether?

    • These have and LDAC and LHDC, both different codecs from different companies.

They shipped with LHDC and LDAC came via firmware update after release.

But looking at reviews it might be better to stick with AAC for better battery life, or go with a lower setting on the higher res codecs

I got a set of 2 for myself to use for VC with Teams for Windows and my partner to use with her iPhone 13 for work. Their mic quality is exceptional, on par with the Airpod pros on the iPhone and they're easily the best sounding Bluetooth headset I used with Windows, on par with some of my 2.4Ghz headsets (Windows hobbles Bluetooth headsets with low audio quality protocols for calls).
As others have said: NC is great, connection is great, audio quality is good, battery life is OK, case is OK, controls are OK but I would have liked more options, comfort is good and although it comes with 7 different sizes of ear-tips, fit is just OK too because they're pretty soft and deform too easily for my liking.
When I am just listening to audio on my phone, I switch back to my Jabra 75T when commuting because they fit better, they have a slimmer case and their NC is still good enough but if I don't need NC, I go back to my old Soundliberty 79's because they fit great and I think their audio quality is just as good as the Neobuds after playing with the EQ.

  • In term of voice call quality outdoor or walking. Does the voice quality good? How about in windy situations? Thanks

    • I frequently speak to people on a call while outside on a run/walk and they've not really had issues hearing me, however they have figured out that I'm outdoors. Hope this helps!

  • Will the sets connect 2 devices at the same time. PC and phone? So I don't have to switch Bluetooth connection for meetings and calls.

    • I don't think these have multi-point pairing.. I could be wrong but I've not seen the option to enable this unfortunately.

My pair just arrived and I can highly recommend these to anybody. These sound incredible for $100 and have really quite good noise cancellation. I don't think I would use the full noise cancellation in everyday life as I like to be able to hear my environment, but these will be my new goto for flights.

  • +1

WOW - the price went up to $198.79!!

I got one for my wife too and we both are so happy with these earbuds.
