price jacking has to be compared within the same platform. i.e. their ebay price now to their ebay price 3 days ago.
it's common for the same items by the same sellers at different prices on different platforms due to the different fees, e.g. ebay charges ~14%.
Voll rep here. Definitely not price jacking, our company really dislikes eBay and we'd much rather deal with customers directly via our store and our pricing on eBay reflects this. The unfortunate reality is that eBay does connect us with buyers who otherwise wouldn't know about us so we continue to sell via eBay (albeit at higher pricing).
That said we do currently have a 20% off sale on eBay (not sure when it ends as I didn't set it up) and we are also having an unrelated sale on our website at the moment.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but seeing as you're here, thought I'd take the opportunity to mention that the S8 on your website has been persistently "on sale" for $179 for a pretty long time now. I'm not familiar with the exactly requirements under law, but I'd say that it probably toes the line for:
promote a ‘sale’ or ‘special’ price which is not in fact a temporary sale price, thus creating an unwarranted sense of urgency to make an immediate purchase
It's a fair point - this latest sale has been going on quite a while (our previous sales only usually last 2 weeks or so a couple of times a year). There is a genuine reason for the sale but in order to avoid any confusion we've decided to remove the regular price from our product listings. We do expect the conditions that have lead to this long running sale to change soon though and the pricing of the S8 in particular to rise back to pre-sale levels in the coming weeks.
It's active with a crossover, and has a floor of 23hz - can't see how you could go wrong for the price
I have this and I think it's great for the price (paid a bit over $200 for it), but in my experience it doesn't get anywhere near 23hz. I've played test tones through it and I can hear it die off below about 35hz. I can also hold my hand under the woofer and once the frequency gets to about 30-something hertz you can feel the amount of air being pushed goes to pretty much nothing at all.
But I'm not complaining, because I have a nice petite pair of Eris E3.5 speakers which only go to 80hz, so adding in this sub is a million times better in bass response AND I still don't have to chuck whopping great speaker boxes on my desk.

I received my subwoofer today. Excellent subwoofer for the price. It made me realise what I was missing with my current setup. I am no audiophile but this one is well worth your money. It can really shake a small room for sure.
I need to find some isolation feet or something. It vibrates at high settings.

Not a big audiophile by any measure, but I have two of these (one for each TV) and they do the job nicely.
