      Your daughter will probably enjoy it. I think you get a certain amount of songs with the game but to get the massive library you need to purchase the rest.

      Either as a subscription or a one off I'm not sure.

      So yeah you need to have good base songs if you aren't willing to purchase the library of songs.

        Subscription doesn't seem like that bad a deal considering you'll play it a lot for a month (or a week) and then probably not bother much after that.

      its especially terrible on switch as motion controls are shite. of course kids cant tell the difference, but consider just playing recordings from youtube of it

    Yeah, crap ass of a game.

    Most of the songs you have to pay for it on a subscription fee. Typical Ubisoft in game transactions.

  It’s not that bad, I really like Just Dance as it’s a good use of the switch platform and have almost every edition.

  2021 definitely pandemic affected so you see it lacks really standout songs, but if you have done it and enjoyed it in the past, still solid.

  Some people don’t also like that they moving also to subscription model with just dance unlimited. I’ve never used it but some games will come with like a trial period.

    how would 2021 be different from other editions? just the songs? which if you subscribe to unlimited, there will be no difference? Is that right?

      Each year's disk has a unique set of songs to play. If you pay for the subscription to Just Dance Unlimited, you gain access to all songs hosted on Just Dance Unlimited up to the point of the following year's disk being release.

              @tajid: each year has around 40+ songs unique to it, but if you get 2022, some of the songs on 2021 may be available to you if you subscribe to unlimited.

              If a song from a previous version has finished its license on Unlimited the only way to play it will be on the game it was released on.

              Thats how I understand it haha, but if you plan to never subscribe to Unlimited, you can just buy the cartridges as is and play the 40 songs that appear on each years release.

  Its a great party game and solo exercise too. You also get 1 month trial of unlimited with every new copy of the game, so its worth trying out.

  Also '22 came with a free 1 month trial, likely the same for '21. Just Dance Unlimited has a very large pool of songs/difficulties.

  I bought this about a month ago for $5 on clearance at Target, postcode 2529. I'm far too old to be familiar with this game stuff, but thought for $5 it might be of interest to my 14yo granddaughter. I'll be giving it to her today, so will be interested to see her response in light of comments above.

  Terrible experience with the Phone App "controller" required to play on Xbox.
  Some phones sync fine, others sync sometimes but not others, and some flat out do not work.
  It doesn't seem to be anything that you can predict. Varying ages of hardware and Android operating system versions display the above issues.
  Heaps of complaints online that people struggle to get it working on iPhone.

  And even when it does sync, it can lose connection randomly partway through a song, so the point scoring can end up obviously incorrect (ie obviously superior dancer scores less than a 4 year old randomly moving around).

  Also requires a massive download update package on first launch. To the point that I wouldn't be surprised if the disc has nothing on it but a verification code.
