I though I would relist this deal as I noticed today there is an extra 30% off this and some other gear. No need for a code. I tried it and it automatically comes off when you add it to your cart and go to checkout

Not sure when this deal ends though.

Going to order one for myself. I will post my thoughts here when I receive it and have a play.

Will post my thoughts as soon as I can.

    • Hi,just waiting on my order still. Hopefully it will turn up today or tomorrow.

    • Hi,
My DS3 just turned up today. Just charging it up. Let me know please if you are still interested in my thoughts and if so, I will post them.
      Cheers.

      • @revheadgl Sure thing please mate. Hard to imagine the mellow balanced sound you described in your other comment but will still be good to know your opinion.

        • No worries. Will do. I haven't had a listen yet, but yes I should expect that it won't sound like the other speakers I mentioned.

Will be interesting to hear though, what it sounds like compared to other similar sized bluetooth speakers.

Probably get to it on Saturday. Will post asap.

          Cheers.

        • Sorry, bit slow getting back to you.

Had a bit of a play and a listen.

Straight out of the box, I charged it overnight. Everything works as it should. I had no problem setting it up and got a decent number of FM stations saved. I live in area where FM reception is pretty average, but it's no issue for me as I just stream from my phone anyway.

It looks nice, feels very well made and should last well.

Now the main question. How does it sound? It sounds as expected. The specs state low frequency down to 150hz, so no expectation of bass nor is there any. Other than that, it is clear, goes relatively loud and with no perceivable distortion.

This is not a speaker that you would use for serious music sessions, but more a convenient travel/personal speaker of for some background music. My planned use is for watching movies from my phone when away from home as I find extended use of earphones and headphones annoying. So i just need something that is not too loud so as to not annoy others. It fits the bill perfectly for me.

          Hope this helps.

Afterpay code does apply for all those.. Ds6 comes down to $77, good find.
Checked other sellers and price vary from 199 to $300, very tempted to gv thm a try.

    • Afterpay should work on anthing over $50 I thought. I didn't try the code on all of the listed items though.

      I have a DS6. Gave my thoughts here on a previous post. just scroll down to @ the 5th reply.;

    Jamo is owned by Klipsch

  • Was in marker for a decent centre speaker.. looks ugly but any one can comment on the sound?

    • Each to their own. It doesn't look fantastic, but I kinda like the design. My concern is that it's cheap-looking, in my eyes, and hence the sound quality might also not be good. Will await OP's opinion.

Hi, meant to reply earlier. I have only ordered a DS3 for myself so I cant comment to the sound of the centre speaker.

I do have a number of Jamo products including a DS6, A pair of DS4's and S801's and centre in my Atmos setup. Happy with all of them and they sound good to me. Also set up a friend of mine with a 5.1 system using E5's and a Mordaunt Short subwoofer. She is very happy with it as am I

However sound is subjective so your thoughts may differ. I would say that overall, in my experience, that Jamo speakers have a very mellow balanced sound and are not tiring to listen too for extended periods. If you like sharp treble, they are most likely not for you.

Must add that I am getting in years now and also have somewhat damaged hearing, so take my thoughts as they are, My thoughts, lol.

Hope this is of some help.
