      You're welcome 😜

I did kill a few hundred orks and urakai. 😁

          • +1

@gimli: Sorry but you should have told aragorn to use the army of the dead to just kill all the orcs in mordor… and save everyone the trouble…

  • i have a severe nutri grain addiction

    • +4

In other words you have a severe sugar addiction.
      It's 24% sugar.

      • +6

I love how whenever someone mentions their favourite cereal, people can't wait to tell them how much sugar it contains, as though it's some big revelation lol

        • +1

Basically every 4th spoonfull is sugar.

          • +12

@WatchNerd: Yeah my doctor mentioned that so i only have 3 spoons at a time and chuck the 4th.

My blood sugar level isnt any better though :(

          • +5

@WatchNerd: That's why I skip every 4th spoon, makes it almost sugar free

          • -5

@WatchNerd: Yes sure, if the first 3 contained no sugar? But it does, so it isn't!

          • +2

@WatchNerd: That's why it has a '4' star health rating.

      • +1

        It's 24% sugar.

        It's over 65% carbs

  • +12

The Nutri Grain 805gm value pack was $4.25 a couple of weeks ago, and now it's only 765gm at a higher price, bloody shifty buggers.

    • +5

      Shrinkflation and inflation at once!!

    • Yep noticed that to ,Hump us both ways smaller box and price rise it's time to look at something else for me .

    • Yep, they couldn’t just raise the price they had to shrink it too.

    • +3

The fact that price hikes have been on the news since the end of last year, and then the spike in petrol in last few weeks due to war, all the companies and are like 'screw it, let's jack the prices up'

  • +3

    Thanks mr gamgee!

  • +2

Ty, saves us from looking through the pretty pointless catalogue

    • +1

That's why I just shop at Aldi.

      • +2

I only go to Coles for their 20%+ Flybuys points being ultimately cheaper than Aldi

    • +1

I don't really look at the pictures, I get it for the articles

  • +3

They have also jacked up the price on the McVitie's Digestive biscuits, they are generally $1.97 on special and are now $2.20. I like the dark chocolate ones but they melt at room temperature so I keep them in the fridge.

    • I keep them on the shelves in the store, can't keep them at home because they end up in my belly far too quickly. Grew up eating lots of chocolate wheatons

  • anyone tried the Street Pizza in the cataloug

    • +1

Horrible reviews, just buy a real pizza than this cardboard rubbish.

      • +2

Just make the dough, takes 15 mins

    • +1

Yep, tried it once a while back when it was half price. It is probably the worst frozen pizza available.

      • +1

Now I want to try it just to see how bad it is

        • I add a squirt of Coles BBQ sauce to frozen pizza which turns it into a gourmet meal. This doesn't work on the Street Pizza and makes it taste more like road kill.

        • +1

Be interesting to see what you think. You have been warned, lol.

And thanks for your continued posts, helps me little with my shopping plans.

    • it's like a pizza from Home Economics class.

  • Totally off topic, but I have a question in regards to the current KitchenAid promotion where you spend $20, you get one credit. It doesn't mention if you spend multiples of $20 in one transaction if you get multiple entries. Or you need to break each transaction down into $20 lots, check out each time, then start all over again. I do a bit of shopping for work so it'll be free kitchenware for me but it'll be extremely tedious if I have to start rescanning when I hit $20 each time!

    • "Plus, for every Ovenware credit you earn, you’ll also receive an entry into the draw the win a KitchenAid Stand Mixer. There are over 100 to be won!"

      Amazing what Google does.

      • I'm not after an entry to the stand mixer comp. I am after the credits for the kitchenware. But thanks for being absolutely no help whatsoever unlike the others who replied and giving me a laugh at how silly you look.

    • +1

It's every $20 regardless. For example, if you spend $21, you get 1 credit. If you spend $61, you get 3 credits. If you spend $89, you get 4 credits.

      • Thanks, it's not clear anywhere on the website!

        • Yes it is.

Or you can just common sense.

    • +1

Also don't be fooled by those promotional extra points offers and buy lots of them. EG the recent "Buy a Chobani product and get an additional point" thing only works ONCE per BRAND. Ie you cannot buy a Chobani yoghurt POUCH plus a Chobani yoghurt TUB and expect to get two bonus points on a $40 spend. You would simply get a total of 3 (2 (normal for 2 x $20 spend) + 1 (Chobani bonus)).

      • Once per brand per shop, I understand.

      • Ok thanks, I'll keep that in mind and split up the transactions if I'm buying multiple items of a brand.

  • how are the squid chips and how you cook them? oven/air fryer?

    • -3

You do realise an oven & air fryer are the same thing?

      • +3

Says the guy that doesn't own an airfryer

        • Yes I do, an air fryer is just marketing speak for a small benchtop oven.
So in other words I own a big built in air fryer.

          • @WatchNerd: honestly i thought the same thing. Till a friend said when you have kids the air fryer will save you so much time. Plus anything potato comes out SOOO much better than an oven.

Hash browns, chips, little pomms. i only use my oven to cook when in-laws come or i'm doing roast veggies + meat.

          • -1

@WatchNerd: You just confirmed your opinion is invalid because you don't own an air fryer but you think you do.
