    Well overpriced for a 1050TI

    • Deal killer.

    • NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3050 Ti, 4 GB GDDR6

  • +3

Great hardware but that 3050ti is very anaemic.

  • +4

3060 then this would be a killer deal.

Interesting, you can't spec an Alienware x14 with the 3060 + 16GB + 512GB on the Dell website. As soon as you choose the 3060 over there, you get no choice but 32GB/1TB - and it comes in at over $4k.

Do you reckon the eBay link has a typo on the graphics card or it's a special run not available direct from Dell?

I really want to like this laptop. But even with the 3060 it will only run at 75w… leaving a lot of performance on the table, Blade 14 or new G14 are much better options.

    • You're missing the point, there are very few that can match up to this because it provides good impementation of thunderbolt for external graphics. The smaller GPU allows this to remain light and portable when you need it.

Yes you can get more for your money like those Asus or more power like Razer Blade 14 but you will not get exotic setups that thunderbolt opens up and those portables are hindered by the big hardware they carry.

      • That is honestly a goodpoint, however id argue Thurderbolt is pretty far behind Asus' External GPU setup so id think anyone wanting to use an External GPU would go in that direction over the slower Thunderbolt stuff, unless they already have a GPu on hand but yeah i see your point for sure

  • lol $2k for a 3050Ti laptop when GPU prices been crashing fast …

    • This ASUS Z13 is another new 3050Ti laptop selling at $3.4k how about that LOL

      • Also its from JB, they over charged on RRP too but won't be surprise lots will still rocks up their shops and buy this

  • very portable form factor but even 12th Gen Intel is still pretty bad for battery life isn't it?

  • Is the RAM soldered on those alienware laptops? Wondering if we upgrade aftermarket ram to 32gb.

    • +1

Yes, soldered on the Alienware, same goes for the Blade 14 if you're curious. G14 is the only exception where 1 Slot is upgradeable and the other "Slot" is soldered (to achieve dual channel)

very glad to know, thanks guru.
