Best Gamified Mandarin Chinese Learning App?

wo bu dong
I get 30% off Mondly Lifetime 41 language A$103.60
One-time payment
Is there anything better out there?
I've downloaded the Microsoft Learn Chinese app too which was free which scores you on prononciation with AI
It seems good for speaking practise I'm a intermediate speaker no reading or writing just pinyin
Duolingo and Rosetta stone are recommended over Mondly on some sites

We met on CMB, Tinder not good for Asians or for serious relationships

No experience learning Chinese, but have learned other languages in the past.

Basically, these sorts of apps are only good for either the very basics, i.e. getting you from knowing nothing at all to knowing a few sentences, or for supplementary learning with other sources. They can't be your main curriculum.

The only way to actually learn a language IMHO is either to actually use it. Depending on your level, you can try to watch shows in the language you're learning, find an international student who you can practice Chinese with and they can practice English with you (for instance), read books…etc.

Learning a language is really difficult, it's not easy, it's not fun (it will be at the start, and it will be once you have a good grasp, but getting from "beginner" to "intermediate" is definitely not fun), and it's just a lot of work.

Your linguistic skills are not the #1 thing she is looking for.

The size of your wallet / bank account is, especially if you are going for a Chinese female, your habits, finances, suburb you live in, car you drive, brands you wear and places you take her to are being constantly assessed not by her but also by her entourage of assessors.

    • I think communication is important in a relationship. Do you have any advice for these and what % weighting they have?

I would rather cry in a BMW than smile on a bicycle…

Seriously though, Chinese girls don’t have a monopoly on everything you just described there. Girls from every background can be materialistic.

Guess Levity/Plexity will have plenty of time to learn Mandarin now he's disabled his account for the second time in as many days 🙄

Have made numerous attempts to learn Mandarin. I’m hopeless. Do pick up a bit more each time I go over there.
Waste of time trying to impress my wife, it’s impossible……
(She thinks I’m pretty good anyhow 😎)

  • I have found Hello Chinese to be the most useful. It is well organised, themed and graduated. Check it out for yourself!

Confirmed to be Levity/plexity; reported it as a ghost account and now they're in the Penalty Box permanently.

Dumb move having your username spelt exactly the same as the first line of your post and commenting on your own posts.
