    Good device, well overpriced.

    • Yes unfortunately, pretty much everything is atm

  • I love waffles. Freshly cooked, scoop of vanilla ice cream, yummm….

    • Me too!

Wow $219.95 last time it was posted! :(

Would prefer 2-slice version anyway…this one looks massive to store!

I've had this for 3 years now, though bought for $190 on an eBay sale. No issues since buying, cleanup is pretty easy except if it overflows down the side then it's best to let it dry and then scratch it off - you have to really overfill it to get to this state though lol

I love waffles, have them every 2nd weekend or so. This is a great waffle maker. It's actually really handy to do 2 batches of 4, they freeze and toast quite well. Beep alerts when done after 5 mins. It is quite large as noted, depends how much space you have and how much you like waffles.

My pick for buttermilk waffles is Alton Brown's basic waffle recipe. Add Ruby and Roy's yoghurt, raspberries and strawberries, escuminac maple syrup. Done! Enjoy your amazing life.

  • hmm wasnt this ~70 from amazon UK recently?

  • Got this last time on special from Amazon UK. Just need an adapter for power plug.

I bought it a few years ago when the retail price was $259 and I paid $199 at David Jones. Good waffle maker but way too expensive at this price. Also quite big.

      $200 is a great price!

For around the same price (when on sale) get the Breville Seal & Press instead. It comes with interchangeable waffle plates (the other plate is reversible flat/sear).
Because they detach, the plates are easy to clean- just pop them in dishwasher.

Also opens flat so you can use it like a bbq… and control each hot plate independently. Best sandwich/grill press I've ever owned.

I went for the Tefal Optigrill for the same reason, except the lying flat. That sounds useful. You can swap plates for grilling, waffles and a saucepan, and they all go in the dishwasher. I use it daily.

      • It's great. I cook pancakes or bacon and eggs for the kids out on the deck for Sunday breakfasts. Very flexible with multiple uses.

I have to agree with you here.
As the non interchangeable plates is a deal breaker for me.
Also the inability to remove the plates and clean in a dishwasher.

Yep! Even if you don't bother with the dishwasher, they are super easy to clean in the sink. You can't do that when they are permanently attached to the appliance. Worth the small difference in price to go to the Sear & Press, plus you're not just limited to waffles (otherwise needing multiple appliances in the cupboard).

I agree with the washing bit. It’s a bit of a trouble. I make Belgian waffles with pearl sugar and the sugar gets stuck inside the plates. I add water and warm it and then clean out with paper towels. Big job but Worth the perfect Belgian waffles that come out of it. However if the other machines are as good and easier to clean then definitely go for those.

    • Ooh u can cook steak on that. Adding that to my wishlist. I need the room so that could replace the electric frypan

    • Ok, you got me - someone please post a deal next time this baby is on sale! :)

Or just don't eat or make waffles. Save 100%.

  • I bought this in 2016 retail price when I was made redundant. I chose to have 6 months off work because I could.

I used this waffle machine everyday for that 6 months.

100% can recommend for best home made waffles.

    • you had waffles every day for 6 months?

damn…. I wish I had your metabolism! I'd be as big as a house!
