    • +3

      Huh?

      174 units available.

      • -3

Wow! Another great deal by dealbot!

        • Nevermind, what a flop.

    • 0 units in reality.

  • eBay vibes lol

  • -6

    $10 at Kmart

  • +3

Would be awesome if it had RJ45 too

    • yes

    • -1

For $2.95 you can't ask for too much , isn't it?

      • +3

I'm ready to round up to $3.

    • Would be awesome if you don't lose the only USB-C (usually), as we move to full USB-C & this is for backward compatibility ;)

  • +6

It is very hard it find a USBc dock without the input cable permanently attached. If it breaks you lose the whole thing.

    Oh, wait, $2.95!

  • -4

well how much is shipping? over 10? or free

    • +1

      $2.95 Delivered

    • +2

The [Delivered] part of the title might be a hint.

  • Generic version looks around $21: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/123463058871

  • +5

May OzB forgive me, I won't have time at 11:30 tomorrow, I bought some now at a meagre 67% discount, $7 each

    • Agreed … Shut up and take my money !

    • totally. for the sake of $4, I'm not taking the risk of missing out so I just bought it now. Even at $7 it's a good deal.

  • -1

Limited to USB C output on laptop?

  • If I remember this right. Beware this is not 4 usb 3.0 ports. Only one port close to cable is usb3.0 and the reset is 2.0. There was a video about this, but I can't find it now.

    • +1

      It's advertised as 4 x USB 3.0 Ports.

      • Yeah, I know. But in that video they open the box and only one port using USB 3.0 chip. You will find out.

  • +1

I thought this was from Amazon, given the title…. im sure its not the first time they get that mistake….

    • They know what their doing… it PCByte

  • What's this for?

    • +2

plug it in to your computer if you need more usb ports for your devices

      • +1

how would it plug into computer?

most pc does not have usb c input.

        • +1

get a usb c to usb a adapter

        • probably mainly for mac users who only have thunderbolt (usbc) ports and no usb-a for accessories like wireless keyboard and mice

          • @Wolfhound: it's good for current pc which only have 2x USb-C and 2x USB-A port mainly. good for connecting those wired keyboard, mouse dongle, USB2 headset. not worry on speed, just need more connectivity at the cheap end. Even 4 port USB3 cost more, and this is USB-C !

        • +1

Would be very surprised if you could find a laptop without one these days

          • @hotphil: Haha don't be surprise, I am sill using my 2012 macbook pro and it is one without any usb c at all

    • Collecting dust and/or fomo.

    • 174 people.

  • +1

I can imagine this being gone in 0.13 seconds

    • +1

I was thinking 0.174 seconds. Computers can only process one payment at a time. Unless they have time machine and get a quantum computer.

      • +1

Surely there's more than one thread.

  • +4

There isn't much info available on the Web, BUT I did find a review on a hub with the same chipset (GL3520).

    https://goughlui.com/2013/04/10/quick-review-cheap-unbranded…

    The bit which is concerning:

but devices which are a bit more power hungry like my SSD in a box fail to operate properly. Just as expected.

So, this is basically a hub with a USB-A based chipset except the plug is changed to USB-C.

  • -3

It shows as $7.00, is this expired?

    • It shows as $2.95 at 11.30AEDT, is this not expired?

      • not start yet

        • +2

          Doesn’t show any $2.95

  • What would be the best close alternative?

  • +11

    Still showing $7?

    • +2

yeah not showing for me either

    • +2

      Yep still showing $7

  • +6

Still showing at $7 for me :(

    • +1

      Fake news:(

    • +2

yep - it is $7 at 11:32AM AEDT

      • I have tired Incognito mode too, no luck…

  • +8

    it's 1130 AEDT but price hasn't changed.

    • +2

Dealbot spreading disinformation?! It’s still $7 mate!

  • +1

    Still $7

  • +6

no price change - now i dont know what to do - Do I keep waiting…….or move on with life.

    • ha ha! :)

    • Move on with life and save $2.95!

  • +11

    Downvote for lack of punctuality

    • +2

Yeah for the price makes no sense to wait around for 4 dollars, most people's time is worth more than that.

      • Agreed waste of time :/

  • +5

I feel like such a stingy mf for waiting for this to drop 4 whole dollars

    • +4

Thats nearly 2 litres of Petrol

    • +2

not stingy if ya saving money wgaf

    • +1

Please hand in your ozbargain card.

  • +1

    still shows as $7.00

  • Hasn't changed price, reloaded page for last 6 minutes…

    • +1

The time I waste trying to save $4……

  • Yep still showing $7

  • +2

They probably sold all 174 units to people who couldn't be bothered waiting until 1130 today

  • +3

A very clever way of getting traffic to your website and harvesting emails for your junk email newsletter 😡

  • +1

    Non-existent deal. Waste of time.

  • +2

I'm wondering if OP meant to write AEST instead of AEDT? Just an idea

    • Yeah you've probably got it here, seeing as it still hasn't dropped it will probably be in an hour

    • Or South Australian time? Their contact info mentions NSW and SA.

  • Like kickAz said, still $7

  • -1

thought it was oos by now but after seeing the comments the price havent changed

  • +2

    Wasting my time, fake deal

  • Based on comments flashing by people are buying it at $7.

  • +1

  • +2

    OOS

Edit: within 2-3 minutes of price drop? Wonder how many actually sold for $2.95 vs $7…

Downvoting not because a bad deal per se, just not worth the effort of guessing when the deal will start.

  • +4

I reckon they changed it to 2.95 when they had like 3 left after selling them to all the FOMO for $7

    • +1

      This. 100%

    • +1

      spot on

  • 'No stock to fulfil your order'. Cool.

  • OOS!!!

  • And OOS now. What a waste of time.

  • lol accidentally got it.

  • +1

    haha such a jib

  • +4

    Bullshit. Very poorly managed.
In other news, AZAU may be merging with Harris Technology.

  • +2

Didn't wipe properly so I could try and get this deal. :(

  • ffs probably went OOS partly from all the extra $7 purchases before it went $2.95 at a random time.
