Scoot Airlines: Return Flights to India from $614 (Depart Sydney or Melbourne)

140

Some nice bargains to a few cities in India, flying Scoot.

Some things to note for these - I suggest you look for dates using Google Flights, because that way you can restrict the flight time to routes that are under 20 hours (so that you don't get those killer 13 hour+ stopovers in Singapore); and they only include hand baggage, which is two items with a maximum combined weight of 10kg.
Dates vary, but generally you can find dates for these from Late April to October 2022. If for whatever reason you don't mind a loooong stopover, there are loads more dates in each month.
I have linked to Google Flights so you can click around and find dates, but then book these directly through Scoot (and FYI, they are showing up slightly cheaper in Google Flights, add $20 or so for the Scoot price).

Melbourne to Visakhapatnam (VTZ) - $624

Melbourne to Trivandrum (TRV) - $614

Melbourne to Tiruchirappalli (TRZ) - $616

Melbourne to Hyderabad (HYD) - $664

Sydney to Visakhapatnam (VTZ) - $616

Sydney to Trivandrum (TRV) - $623

Sydney to Tiruchirappalli (TRZ) - $621

Sydney to Hyderabad (HYD) - $635

Now I know why India bought the cheap Russian oil. :-(

    • +1

BS and so did entire Europe,,,

    • Entire Europe runs on Russian gas, but some idiots will always remain a US puppy and spread their double standards propaganda.

    • I guess there is a difference in buying Russian gas/oil already for a long time in the past (and being now dependent on it) or buying even more Russian oil as it is cheaper. But fully agree Europe should just stop the deliveries (guess will happen when the situation does not change).

  • if possible avoid TRV airport. last month when i had to fly to mumbai and while coming back TRV airport idiots denied me entry on basis of no transit visa as my tickets were from TRV to SNG and SNG to MEL via Scoot Airlines. i showed them Singapore airport website and no such rules for Ausie passport holders about transit visa but no use. had to book another flight of Sinapore Airline next day and it was all fine. still fighting with them over this waste of money and expensive ticket purchase next day drama but no help. no one cares.

      Agree with last sentence

    • What transit visa ?

      • there is none…sometime airport or country can ask air traveler for transit visa if you are transiting from that airport to another country. never heard any such for condition for Indian or Australian Passport holder but useless TRV airport idiots denied me entry on basis of transit visa. i was shocked. i have never taken Transit visa for Singapore during my last 21 years of Air travel but these buggers used that as a reason to deny me at immegration.
My scoot flight was from TRV to SIN airport and then within 3 hours i had next flight from SIN to MEL but still they denied me. Scoot refunded me the tickets after some fight but there is Zero response from TRV airport. even Airport Authority of India is useless. their response is TRV is operated by private operator so we cannot do anything. WTH…. your contractors are blocking people illegally and there is Zero action. I have seen some google and facebook review which talks about money making dramas there.

        • That sounds scary. Did this happen recently, after the Adani takeover? https://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/Thiruvananthapuram/adan…

          • @hdus002: yes…last month when i had to visit india when my father was critical. so i took 1 way ticket and this drama took place while coming back on 1st March. my 1280$ one way ticket got wasted and had to buy new one way1890$ ticket next day due to work schedule here

            • @adi2020: I emailed a few contacts I found online ([email protected], DGCA etc) about Singapore Visa requirements for transit for Australian passport holders.

They mentioned this is an airline thing: "Thank you for reaching out, since the concern is about boarding the flight and transit process, this shall be addressed by respective Airline."

Were you blocked by the airlines staff (Scoot) or by the TRV airport officials?

              • @hdus002: at TRV airport counters are shared among the airlines. next day same dress staff let me go in on same counter but for different airline. so i dont think they have airline specific staff. i did try feedback email but no help. just usual bla bla… and i did get refund from Scoot but TRV airport are not even ready to accept their mistake. they are just trying hard to show no valid reason but we still denied due to bla bla…visa specific jargons which does not make any sense. as using the same document - Valid airline ticket, AU passport, PCR certificate, 3 Shots certificate from AU i did board the airline next morning so basically they had no legal business to stop me at first counter where they issue the boarding pass.

  • How's the covid situation in India…

  • December tickets not open yet. Looking for It

  • Any options for Mumbai?

    • Didn't see any good fares to Mumbai, but will keep an eye out!

  • This airline sounds suspect to me .
