    • Doesn't even look like a legal AU plug anyway, Australian standards require that the live pins have insulation so if the plug is partially pulled out, there is still no exposed metal. Chinese plugs often lack this insulation which makes them quite a bit more dangerous in that regard

      • TIL "Australian standards require that the live pins have insulation so if the plug is partially pulled out, there is still no exposed metal." Thanks. Luckily i ordered the Zyron today which looks like it has the insulation :)

  • Would people recomend this deal, or the current discount on Heymix 120w on Amazon?
I guess im more coming at it from a reliability standpoint, both cover my needs in terms of output.
    Heymix deal: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09P6BB7GS?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_d…

    • sounds like you've sort of decided what you want already

it really comes down to the form factor, do you want something a little smaller and more compact so it is easier to carry around

Do you really want or need to be charging up to 100w or is 65w enough?

Keep in mind smart devices nowadays will control and regulate the wattage, this means that it would peak in the middle of the charge at the advertise wattage, it does not
mean you will be getting it the maximum outage from the moment you plug it in and until it is full. itll slow down as you reach toward 100% of your device

The other feature that makes this one convenience is the addition plug so that you can plug other devices that does not take usb-A or usb-C OR something from overseas with a US plug

Hope that answers some of your questions :)

      • Thanks Joedee!

Im largely just worried about reliability. HeyMix seems to be quite hit or miss. Whereas Baseus has a better rep from what i've read online.

I'm plugging in laptops and iphones, last thing i want is to damage them!

I would totally get a second baseus if I'm moving around or traveling more, while most phone does not go over 25w, some newer models come with their own charger if it does take 45w, the share output wattage of these adoptors seems to be doing enough for me

future proofing is a good idea but carrying something big and clunky makes you not want to bring it around as much

I have both brands, Beaseus is slightly better build and the form factor is more convenient for me.

But it comes down to what output you need.

  • @OP is the power cable a figure-8 one? (So that I can take it out and use an AU cable instead?
    Thanks

Sorry, I didn't see your comment. It's a non-removable power cable with a 3-pin plug on the end.

      • Thanks

  • Just note they show images of 2 different models. One with an additional point on the body of the device and one without it.
