    Same price in VIC
can easily check all states using the Costco app

    • Forgive my ignorance, how you find fuel prices via the app?

      • Filter by brand/price.

      • +3

In the Costco app, go to the 'Warehouse' tab, find a Costco store, should list the prices (if that store has fuel avail)

        Thanks all, very helpful

    • Opening @ 10AM is later than the usual time they use to open

  • +3

    Don't forget
t the 2.49 hot dog plus pepsi

    • +6

Did they increase the price? I thought it was $1.99.

    • +1

      it's only $1 @ IKEA thou lol

      • +5

Yeah but IKEA hotdogs are much smaller and less satisfying than Costco.

        • +1

          but I don't need to pay $60/year

          • @TanedaR: Don't need to pay membership to buy from their canteen.

            • +3

@KBZ: the guard at the front gate won't let you in without membership card

              • +4

@TanedaR: huh must be different locations. lidcombe no such.

              • +1

@TanedaR: Can use an old one or say you're there to buy a membership

              • @TanedaR: Doesn't exist

          • +3

@TanedaR: Its pays itself off after 1 or 2 tanks. People don't realise costco is generally 10-20cents cheaper than anywhere else. In Sydney the price is $2.10 - $2.20 for P98. On full tank dependant on car its easily $20 daving for me. For me filling up weekly and on the way home work it convenient.

            • +1

@hotstuff: Not sure about Sydney but for Moorabbin, it's only slightly cheaper, maybe 2c or so, than others in the area during the few days of the bottom of price cycle.
It's even 10-15 cents more expensive when you factor in 4c voucher + 4c Linkt / AFL / Toyota app + 5% off gift cards during the bottom of price cycle

              For example today U91 is 167.7c @ Costco and 184.9c @ Shell/Ampol in Springvale
              185c -4c-4c -5% off = 168.15c

Plus it's located in the middle of nowhere. not many people living within 10 mins drive radius
unless you are an uber driver, I can't see the benefit at all

              • -1

@TanedaR: Coles express price is about 180c today, you can combine -4 (docket) and -8(carsales) to get 168c and combine with roughly 5% off gift cards/fb$ for a better deal. The bottom line is you don't have to join the ridiculous queue at Costco. Being a Costco member for about 5 years I have never filled up once at their servo.

              • @TanedaR: Can you stack Woolies Rewards 4c with the Toyota app?

They rejected my Rewards 4c & NRMA app stacking attempts.

hoping the nearby 7-11's drop prices also

    • Yep taking their time

  • +4

7 11 choppers are more convenient

    • But only work IF 7-11 decides to drop their prices. :)

  • +3

Just checked.. cheapest in Sydney is 1.55 for e10 at metro Guilford otherwise 1.75 is easily obtainable.

    • You're right 1.79 guildford 98

  • Trying to balance driving to Costco for 20 minutes just to get fuel vs getting fuel for less than $2/L

  • +4

    1.667 used to be the taboo figure now it's a heaven 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂

  • Does this require a CostCo Membership?

    Costco has stepped up

If other retailers charged a $55/$60 premium to become a member, maybe they would also pass on great savings.

      That's gaslighting.

      • Petrol is a liquid at room temperature.

  • doh i just filled up on 202.7 last week at costco too lol

    • -1

then fill up again now and halve your loss…

      • +2

Don't think thats how it works

        • Why not?

    • +3

Fill up your car again and then refund it with the old receipt :P

Both Costco in VIC (Epping and Moorabbin) have U91 at 166.7 (not E10)

  • Any chance 7-Eleven price matches? ;)

    • Will take a few days for 7-Eleven stations to finish off the old fuels
then new fuels will take the advantage of the 22c fuel excise

  • The two Queensland Costcos are showing the same.

  • -1

imagine the queue to get fuel…

    • Last time I went to Costco they had so many fuel pumps it was insane so I wouldn’t be worried about the wait

  • +2

    Metro Guildford(NSW) have E10 now for $1.549

    https://www.fuelcheck.nsw.gov.au/app/FuelPrice/ByLocation?la…

  • +3

This price isn't because of the fuel excise reduction, this is the market price dropping 2 weeks ago. https://www.exchangerates.org.uk/commodities/live-oil-prices… , https://www.aip.com.au/pricing/international-prices/internat…

So theoretically the price should drop another 22c, but I'm will to bet it won't and the fuel companies will say the price has already dropped and swallow the savings.

    • Maybe they'll pass on 1/3 of that 22c…

      We will never know

    • The average prices from the ACCC show a big spike 2 weeks ago, matching the increase in the price per barrel 3 weeks ago. But they have already come down 20c from that peak, so this drop is on top of that one.

AIP terminal gate prices have dropped 26c so far since budget night as the wholesale price continues to fall. This is the further drop that we are starting to see come through to servos now.

      https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/petrol-diesel-lpg/petrol-p…
      https://aip.com.au/pricing/terminal-gate-prices

  • yeah even before the announcement of the budget in Queensland there are petrol places already droped to 1.60 that was way before NSW. so NSW is too slow.

  • Looks like a trip to Costco this afternoon , just hope its not smashed out at Marsden Park ,

    • Why are there so many petrol stations in Adelaide?

  • Do they accept Fleetplus fuel card?

    • Who ?

      • I was referring to Costco. I called them and they said no.

        • they said no.

          That's terrible

          Make a complaint.

  • The fuel companies must be laughing all the way to the bank. Just an excuse to get most of the 22c as extra profit as the prices fluctuate so much the ACCC probably couldn't do much about it anyway.
As an example, Vibe in Morley (WA) was 1.83 yesterday, dropped 20c (not 22c) to 1.63 today & tomorrow they are back to 1.79 !!
They can't blame the price cycle either as WA now has a 2 week price cycle so prices should be on the way down each day (with next Tues being the cheapest day this cycle):
Today & tomorrows price for all fuel in WA here:
    https://www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au/

    • The fuel companies must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Most of our petrol is refined overseas and imported…

      • I understand that all of the fuel in WA comes from the local BP refinery in Kwinana (which supply all of the local brands), although this will be closed down in the near future so it will be refined overseas too.
Even so, I suspect it is the local company head quarters that are making most of the profit.
