You said it all with the 'How'd Warne die' then you followed it up with 'probably'Just ridiculous to connect this random post to Warne.

Nobody has claimed this is healthy or even tasty for that matter. Connecting to a bloke that just croaked. FFS. I didn't even really think much of Warne but hope people don't subconsciously attribute all dodgy food to his memory. No way that guy was even close to the unhealthiest 50+ I know and if you think he was then you aren't paying attention.

          • -5

            @seamonkey: If he wasn't a warning to everyone…

You are kidding yourself if you think Warne was healthy.

And so what if he wasn't the most unhealthy 50yo? Doesn't make him healthy. The fact is he's dead.

            • +1

@scuderiarmani: I didn't know jack about him but seemed dude lived hard and fast. From the shit on my screen I've been unable to avoid, looks like he fit more in half a century than most of us will do in 40 lifetimes.

I don't know if he was healthy or not. I'm just saying this burger has FA to do with Warne.

23 year old elite athletes drop dead all the time, usually from ove-exertion, defects, aneurysms, etc.

              • -1

@seamonkey: He had notable weight fluctuations throughout his life, not just career.

And he got banned for 12 months for his diuretic use.

I'd say an Aussie Icon dying from high cholesterol should serve as a warning to others….

@Fredfloresjr: Mate, I'm loving all the Negs.

            BRING THEM ON

Says a whole lot about the people here.

My 5yo daughter can construct a better sentence then you.

it's not like you'd eat this every day

      • -6

Plenty of people dumb enough to and worse. Only need to check Australia's obesity ranking lately.

I'll stand by my comment. I don't care how many negs.

Anyone willingly going out and clogging the health system with preventable conditions is a selfish prick. If you are dumb enough, despite all the warnings….

I don't think I even need to elaborate anymore, but…..

Fat person logic. Others die too so what does it matter.

        Mooooooo.

        • I don't think I even need to elaborate anymore, but…..

Oh please do, I need to know what a hatebot thinks.

  • +4

it may not be intended as a joke…

  • Carls Jr, not doing well in Australia? Still they manage to get people to invest in new franchises?

  • +1

Pretty sure it's an april fools joke, the price is a joke at any rate. It's +$7.6 at mcdonalds to add 4 patties and 4 slices of cheese

    • -1

have you realised why its 7$ at maccas? Because they have the yuckiest and disgusting burgers.

      • -2

have, 7$, Because, yuckiest and a missing word

Sounds like this burger is made for people like you.

      • +3

because 30g of meat and plastic cheese doesn't cost all that much nor is it much labor. You think that the patties are good enough at carls to be worth an extra $16 for 3? lmao

        • Jesus $25 for once a year is a problem now. Didn't realised this is how other people deprived themselves.

          • @Fredfloresjr: Its a problem because whoever buys it obviously doesn't know their maths to realise you could literally ask an identical DIY burger at Carls Jr and pay less.

      • I think Ronald McDonald and The Hamburgular were in this thread as I see you got 2 downvotes for speaking the truth

  • +2

Can't really be an April fools joke if it was advertised days ago. Seriously though, what sort of idiot would actually pay this much for something with 5 slabs of "meat"?

  • +2

An expensive way to get a heart attack

  • -1

    Hmm a $25 Carl’s burger or a $20 authentic restaurant burger?

    • +1

That's what the Chef said. "Authentic"

  • +1

They should've just made this an April Fool's joke.

    • Didn't HJ's and KFC remove similar items before? The 4 patty Whopper and the tower thing at KFC, whatever that was called….. think they also had one without a bun too….

      • Don't remember the 4 patty whopper but the tower at KFC was "made up of a piece of ‘Original Recipe’ chicken, cheese, tangy tomato sauce, mayonnaise, lettuce and a hash brown" ie actually edible.

        • +1

Must have been another, I know they did one with chicken as the bun… with more chicken inbetween.

  • The healthier alternative is to go Indian and upsize to a really really really big dahl

  • How can anyone open their mouth that wide. Will be such a messy experience.

  • +6

I love how it advertised "just" $25.
$25 is hideously expensive for a single burger with nothing else accompanying. Even more so for a second-rate fast-food chain slop burger.

How the heck is this even on this site as a "bargain"?

  • What's the normal price?

    • $9 for 2 patties

  • +1

Carl's is very disappointing in Oz, nothing like in the USA. Is there a side salad available with this .. 😂😂😂 .. ??

  • +4

    really, really, ridiculously good looking

  • +1

    Gross

  • would not eat

  • +4

$25 for a burger is a bad deal.

    • $25 for this particular burger is a horrible deal.

  • +1

    Terrible food and terrible pricing.

  • heart attack included?

  • Hmmm $25 for this crap, or $20 for this https://scontent.fbne5-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/2741692… , which is the best f'ing brisket I've ever had.

  • I had their $5 triple special the other day and I though it was barely worth that, so to pay an extra $20 for two more patties is ridiculous..
