Arctic P12 PWM 120mm Pressure-Optimised Fan Black $6 + Shipping @ PC Case Gear

130

Despite the classic PCCG somewhat-overpriced-shipping, $6 for a well received case fan with good price to performance seems pretty good. Only a deal if you're intending to purchase 5+ fans, else ~$15 shipping just for one fan completely kills it.

For shipping to Western Australia at $15 for 5 fans = $45 total, working out to $9 each fan, with the price reducing per fan for more fans ordered (10 * $6 + $17 shipping = $7.70 each)

also a decent price on amazon for the pwm pst version value pack ($55 for 5)
how bad is the whine at around 900-1000rpm, only thing idk about preventing me from buying right away
edit: might get the co version, apparently that is hum-free! (any owners of it able to chime in?)

  • What is the difference between Arctic P12 PWM and Arctic P12 PWM PST CO? Which one is quiter?

    • +1

Pst is power sharing. They have daisy chain connectors essentially. Super useful.

CO has different bearings which are superior hence the higher price, but i just did some research and apparently they don't cause the hum around the 1000rpm mark so i might go for that instead as it isn't a big difference in price
edit: okay upon even further research the CO's ball bearings get noisy over time, now i don't know what to do…

      • Yeah, CO is not quite as the original one.

      • both have 10 year warranty, im pretty sure only the CO has a chance to get to that

Ah didn't see he asked about CO too, oops.

There's P12 non PST, but PWM
        There's P12 PST and PWM
        There's P12 PST, PWM, CO.

Nice and easy for newcomers to pc building lol

        • which one has least noise?

    • The CO have a "longer lasting" bearing that is louder - I would grab the pwm PST.

    This deal blows …..

It sucks too, depending on the orientation how you install it.

Shipping $18 for me. If I go with scorptec (local and very close to me) they are $13 each. Double in price but cheaper due to saving on shipping as I can pick up.

Bought one from Scorptec recently for my new build, but because I also ordered a case and a cpu cooler, shipping became free. But slow shipping.

  • the F series uses a white matt type material which seems porous and dust leaves a stain on the blades. Not sure if the P series is made of a similar material
