        I dont think anyone has received the 77A80J yet, its easter so i wouldnt expect it before May :/

          @cacique: I rang Sony today and was also given the ETA of the 20th to their warehouse. They said it was due today but didn't come because they are on holidays (I'm not sure where in the world that is). They also said that they had been overwhelmed by the student promotion and most people are still waiting.

    same thing happened - I contacted cash rewards and their response was

    "Thank you for reaching out to our team regarding your declined cashback with Sony. I hope you're well today.

    I have reviewed your Sony transaction within the store's system and I regret to inform you that Sony declined your purchase for cashback. Sony reported that your order was returned or cancelled.     which was surprising considering I clearly haven't returned the TV!

    I sent photos of the box, postage label and the tv itself to prove that.

    I'm waiting to hear a response from Cashrewards now.

      Checked the current CR Cashback terms and said ineligible for "Student members". Was that there before?

      "Cashback is ineligible on purchases made with exclusive discounts provided to employees, corporate and commercial partners of Sony Australia. Cashback is also ineligible for Sony X Members, Alpha Pro Support, Student and Educator program members, and Service Centres."

      Also loving my 77A80J, was definitely a big upgrade.

  Thanks OP.
  We got our 77A80J a little over a week ago. We were in the market for this TV and nearly pulled the trigger when we saw it for 5500 back in March, so this stacked with the Amex cashback was a huge bonus.
