Someone asked me for a deal on this previously popular Baseus charger and I was able to get the already reduced price even lower from Banggood. As a bonus it's shipping from their AU warehouse.

It has two USB-C ports with 65W USB Power Delivery (65W on single, 45W+20W when both used) making it suitable for charging laptops, phones, Nintendo Switch etc, an orange USB port with 5A fast charging including Huawei SuperCharge and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, a CN style plug on the top that'll fit an AU plug and a 5a 100W USB-C to USB-C cable comes included. Since this is a GaN charger it's smaller, more lightweight and runs much cooler than a standard charger.

Alternatively the 100W version can be bought for US$49.99 here.

  • What's the deal with the upside down plug?

    • +1

It's a CN 3 pin plug. It'll still work in AU sockets.

      • +6

The plug might work but a cable shooting for the moon is far from practical.

        • +3

don't use it and move on with life? ;-)

Thanks, OP, grabbed one, been eyeing on this for a while.

  • Other brands but similar 65w GaN bricks like this are often on Amazon for around $40… Is this brand a good, trusted brand for this type of wall plug or something?

    • +7

This is a bit different to your standard GaN charger in that it has a socket ontop. Baseus is a popular and well trusted brand though.

      • Thanks, I'm not familiar with the brand but good to know it's well reputable. I also didn't initially realise (due to my poor skimming of the title) that this also comes with a 100W usbC cable. Looks like a good deal with that from a good brand.

Can vouch for their quality, also have one of these chargers, works well with my Samsung and surface

      • How do you arrange the power cord? Does it run midway up the way and curve on the side down? Or do you have it going up onto a table or something

        • Behind the bed

  • Thanks OP, got one. Looks good for travel.

  • Excuse the ignorance. Is the charger PPS capable? Can it be used with S22 Ultra?

  • a CN style plug on the top that'll fit an AU plug

Not sure what I'd use this for but otherwise it looks good.

Also, does anyone k ow if shopback have pid cashback when no SB code is used?

    • +7

Stupid comment. It's one of the two plug types used on China. Glad it's not the US style 2 pin type because then you definitely couldn't plug it in.

  • +1

Thanks OP, literally the first time in 7 years of being on ozb that I bought something right away without knowing about it prior haha.

  • How big is the plug?
Can I use the other plug on double socket?

I like the fact that it's not plugged directly to the wall like heymix's. I'm a bit wary it will come loose over time due to the weight of the charger.

    • +1

Yes you can use the other plug

  • I got a 65W charger with my Lenovo Laptop with Type C port.
Sometime I am using it to charge my mobile, And when I am in office using the charger provided for Laptop in office to charge my mobile.
    Question: Does this damages mobile?

    • Nah your phone would be fine. The Lenovo 65W USB-C charger is USB Power Delivery and your phone would support that too. It'll only draw to the power level it uses, e.g. 18W.

  • Why do I get an error when trying the code "This coupon can only be used in AU warehouse"?

    • +2

Looks like AU stock is OOS.

      • Bugger… Thanks mate

  • Thanks
    Handy for new Samsung phones

  • That was fast, already received this morning.

    • Did they use Aramex? Normally it sits in their warehouse for a week.

      • Based on the tracking ID and shipping label, it was Aramex via PFL (Parcel Freight Logistics).

    • Received mine this afternoon. Good charger.

  • Works mostly fine. My usb powered bedside light doesn't work with it but it's otherwise good. It's enabled fast wireless charging on my charging base, I wasn't even aware I had that option.
