Any easy way to find good family cruise packages (2 adult, 3 child)?

  • -1

I'll be downvoted for saying this but please make an informed decision before going on a cruise. Cruising is a major source of environmental pollution and degradation

The deal is a good bargain but I don't think it's worth the cost of such environmental harm

    • +6

…. and the 1000's of cargo ships traversing the globe creating same (more) environmental issues; they're ok though??!

      • +4

No of course not, you're right. I used to think cruising was such a great value family holiday option (and it still is) until I learnt the impact it had on ocean health. You're absolutely right, cargo ships are so harmful too. It's so hard as an individual to try live footprint-free when convenience is so readily available. Just wanted to bring light to the other side of the cruising industry in case anyone was not aware, like I used to be. Not trying to start any debates.

Mate, we are pests. Lazy, selfish pests. So ?

    • You are right - you have been downvoted for saying this.

stop farting mate to help the environment.

Cruising is a major source of environmental pollution and degradation

The argument is flawed for the following reasons:
      1. Cruise ships, particularly the ones that comes into Australia, must adhere to specific Australian environmental regulations but merchant ships, however, do not.
      2. Cruise ships have engine filters to stop the polluting. Merchant ships, however, do not.
      3. How many merchant ships ply Australia per month (or year)?

The argument is "punishing" one small industry because the majority of the shipping industry is still burning (heavy) bunker fuel.

    • I’m just confused as to why you’re a ozbargainer. I doubt I have ever seen anything advertised on here that is environmentally responsible.

  • requirement to be vaccinated?

      Hopefully.

one would think so before boarding the floating petri dish.

        Such an ill-informed comment.

Why is the posted deal any better than say this deal: https://www.cruiseaway.com.au/cruise/delightful-expedition-f…

7 nights inside cabin from $728…

    • This one comes with $175 on-board credit

    • Different ship, difference brand, different time of year.

    • +1

This is not the same. If you cruise you know that Princess is by far superior to P&O.

  • Princess Cruises are normally a better value.

  • Princess Cruises include free quarantine!! See Ruby Princess (again)
