    I haven't heard of nasopharyngeal swab and this description of the process.

    Insert the swab into the nostril, parallel to the palate. If you detect resistance to the passage of the swab, back off and try reinserting it at a different angle, closer to the floor of the nasal canal. The swab should reach a depth equal to the distance from the nostrils to the outer opening of the ear".

    Pics and vids in the link, process looks brutal and there's no way I could imagine doing that on my kids without them going beserk!

    Can anyone with real training and qualifications in field comment on how accurate the link is?

      If you arent confident of doing nasopharyngeal, the information/specification sheet that comes with the kit actually also details Sensitivity/Specificity/Accuracy data of using it as a nasal swab instead of nasopharyngeal.

      The sensitivity is 97.1% (n=6xx) instead of 97.8% (or 97.7? n=2xx , can't remember, read it 20mins ago).

    That's likely because these tests are not individually packaged per test but for bulk use in healthcare settings. I have these and they are super sensitive compared to other tests, ie the positive test line is pretty clear and obvious when you've got covid.
