  • I posted the last deal for this - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/636574

Mine actually died last Saturday overnight. I have had it for like 7 months. When I woke up I found that my PC is off. The power button didn't do anything and only the 5v rail was on because the motherboard lights were lit up. I guess something happened to the 12V rail.

Ended up getting a Corsair HX1200 on the same day because RMA will probably take around 2 weeks and I need my PC for work.

Sorry to hear that mate. I've had mine for close to a year now without any issues (yet)

How much power were you pulling off the PSU on average out of curiosity?
I've been using mine for just under 12 months now, running 24/7 at 600+ watts load, so you might've just been unlucky.

      • 5950x, 6900xt , 9 lian li uni fans and radiator. Around 250w average

I bought the last deal! Nice to see you are still here

  • Never skimp on the PSU

been using this 24/7 for a while now, great PSU and cable quality is great, better than more expensive gold-rated Corsair and Thermaltake I tried in the past, out of these Thermaltake was the worse.

Agreed - this is a great choice of PSU.

    • paying top dollar isn't always a guarantee of reliabilty because of the number parts invloved, though it can buy efficiency and low noise and hopefully some over-engineering.

    • I have 2 of these running 24/7

good PSU, just seen it and was about to post this deal

      Going to buy another

  • damn, this or the A850GF?

7 year vs 10 year warranty
    Single Rail vs multi-rail
But $100 more for the extra 150w

    • +1

Depends how frequent you use. 2% difference in effeciency doesn't matter unless you running 24/7 and have expensive power. At say 800w that's 16w which comes down to $32/year old (23c/kw) if you never turned it off.

The A850GF is a good deal, maybe if this was cheaper it'd be better value. Really this suits miners and putting 4x gpu in it. I don't think you need for 4xxx series unless u really want 4090ti XxX then money clearly isn't an issue. I'd go with the 850w gold for $109

      • The only thing turning me off the A850GF really is it's multi-rail, which I keep seeing mixed thoughts about.

edit: And it doesn't have a silent mode either (where the fan stops running under low load).

  • This is nice, bought Silverstone 1000w plat for $230 a few weeks back.

  • Tempting and bookmarked 👍😁

  • I got one last month, so far so good for my 3950x build
