Crazy how much baby seats, capsules and prams have shot up in price over the last 10 years

      • +2

I reckon social media would be a big factor in that. Not just showing off to/competing with your friends and relos.

Seriously. One is for a newborn that can’t sit up / hold its head up. I still wouldn’t pay that much for a pram.

    • +3

Well one has a bassinet so its suitable for newborns and the other one isn't. Not saying the 1k pram is worth it but there is actually a big difference.

This is what you are pay for…

    Made in Europe.

    Most probably Eastern EU?…

    • From my experience only Eastern European countries would state like that…

    Wtf is eco leather?!?

This is one costly shopping bag! The point of getting a pram is to keep your groceries isn’t it?

  • Does it come with a 5 year nanny subscription service?

  • Either the lady in the video is tiny or the pram is humongous.

    Who the hell upvotes this

  • +2

I once saw a lady with one of these. I judged her.

    What is this rubbish.

  • So much judgement on the price, which I kind of agree with - I wouldn’t spend this much.

But when we had kids a few years ago, everyone had Bugaboo prams which were something like $1500 new, looks like they still are:
    https://www.babybunting.com.au/bugaboo?f_displayCategoryName…

There were other brands which also were that much. We bought stuff second hand but the market for second hand prams and things was red hot (high prices, lots of buyers). We had a Baby Jogger three wheel pram which was about 600 new. Sold it after a few years for half that I think.

So this ain’t anything out of the ordinary. If it’s made in Europe and not China/Vietnam/etc, then I’d pay a bit more due to higher wages and labour welfare.
