Awesome price on these, paid 3x as much about a year ago. Works well. I paired these with a TP-LINK Deco mesh system to extend coverage and receive video (there's only so much a potato ISP provided router can do)Their app is good but Desktop app requires a lame subscription. Can be bypassed by using RTSP or something similar. All round, amazing value at this price and works well.

    • Same, Paid around $60 last year and am currently using it outside my garage with Deco. RTSP works great to capture the video in my NAS.

    • These are battery based wireless?

  • Does it integrate with google home?

  • how does the two way talk work is there an app for these cameras

  • +2

I have one of these, excellent camera.
The two way talk uses their app, has motion detection

I also have a newer bullet one that has human detection, this one is motion only.

You can set the area for motion, record to SD card, spotlight, 2 way talk, and rtsp on by default

You can say Google show camera on device and it will stream it

    I'm buying another one

    Thanks Op

  • I can’t believe I thought I got a sick deal at $30 ea sigh

  • +1

    This will be my third.
I record to SD, as well as via rtsp to a hard drive using shinobi nvr

  • Just grabbed two cheers op

    • OOS now, but thank you.

    • +2

Thanks. Managed to order one from that listing before they went in and edited/dropped the available quantity to 0.

Fully expecting it to be cancelled though as it looks like the code was meant to apply to the covers only.

      Coupon: COVERDISCOUNT-1

And on the promotion page it states:

      • Same here. All hail Lord Kabootar!

          Jai Bajrang Bali !

      • @HomeAlone: Good observation…..ha! Hopefully they will let it slide and just ship them.

        • Let slide they won't.

  • Anyone have issues with these running on Tinycam app?

I have this camera being run by NVR Software shinobi which records the movement if detected, I also can access the camera by the Tinycam app but it just runs so slow compared to my other Imou cameras? Is the camera just old?

    • -3

Tinycam is a garbage piece of software, so YMMV

      • What would you recommend instead of Tinycam? It seems popular on Ipcam forum.

        • I've used vxg without issues in the past.
Now I just use the imou app

          • +1

@opelcalibra: The reason I dont use the Imou app is I dont like the cameras to have unrestricted access to the internet. There is a security flaw with some IPcams, and you cant use the Imou app unless the camera has access to the internet. Its weird as I thought I could use the app locally but it wont work unless the camera has access to the internet.

            • @nedski: I'm the same and just use TinyCam to access local only. Imou is blocked on firewall after initial setup. It won't have all the extra features though (light, siren etc). I just use for Cam.

      • @ZilogX: Why is Tinycam crap (as a matter of interest)? Being using it for years and it is excellent across all the Cams I have (6 different brands)…and it's free. Ok some features might not be compatible across all Cams e.g. speaking to Cam but overall decent enough.

      • Used to be the best, by miles had it really dropped so badly?

        • I should have qualified my reply - It is a free software. Real good value for money, folks

  • +1

Do these need to be plugged in to power?

    • +2

i've found that needs 5v2a, the cable is 3 meter .

      • Thanks!

  • not sure the image quality. how many MP is this?

  • Whelp that went fast.

  • +1

Just got a shipping confirmation and tracking number.

  • Anyone know if these can be used with a system like Blue Iris?

    • +1

      If it supports rtsp yes

  • +1

Hows the security and privacy on these, does the feed get sent back to a server in china for all to see?

    • +1

I always make the assumption that ALL camera's can be compromised/monitored hence never open them to the big bad world (indoor cams at least) by using the manufacturers App. Best to block and keep on LAN only.

      • I guess the main issue what that would be, you wouldnt be able to get any notifications to your mobile/remotely view the cameras?

        • TinyCam app can email if motion is detected.

  • anyone know if these have ONVIF protocol?

  • +1

Was among the first to place an order at 5:19 PM and have just now received a message from the seller saying that "it is have some problem now,can you please cancel this order,we will refund to you as soon as possible!" Also suggesting another indoor camera instead. So, what am I supposed to do now? Insist on getting my cameras or accept the refund? It doesn't sound fair to me…

    • +1

      Same here.

    • +1

      Same :(

    • +1

The replacement is an inferior product and not an equivalent features-wise and purpose-wise.
Also the seller has jacked up the prices on everything so of course the replacement will be a higher price now.
But for what it's worth at least the seller is offering a credible alternative.

      • -3

        what is wrong with replacement?
the price is more expensive than this camera.

        • They jacked the price to make it look like a more expensive camera just so they could say this
Same camera listed here, same seller, cheaper price.
          https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393743801275

They also jacked the silicone covers from 7.99 to 15.99. After discount they were $3.99 before.

    “ Hi Friend,

for this item,it is have some problem now,can you please cancel this order,we will refund to you as soon as possible!
or we can ship the other camera to you for replace, the cost and price is higher than this items you buy usually!you can see from the link below:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393718244568

thank you very much, looking for your reply!

    Yours sincerely,
    Imou_official”

  • +1

disappointed. are they going to really send this baby camera, if we don't cancel?

    • +2

If they do it will be returned as "item not as described". For which they'll get a seller defect.
If you cancel you can't easily leave feedback and there is no consequence for them.

  • +1

Pathetic an official store would do so, clearly no marketing sense, the price wasn't even too far off the $30 these things have apparently sold for in the past. Reckon they should cop negative feedback from us all if they don't fulfill with same or better outdoor camera !?

  • +1

I was able to successfully order but now they have emailed saying there is an “issue” with the order, so please cancel your order. You may order order any other full price items.

Anyone else received a similar response and what if I don’t cancel the order? I think they have stock but changed mind about the discount lol

    • +4

They certainly have them in stock but they don't want to honor their mistake and sell them at such a small profit.
They would like you to cancel so they don't get any negative feedback or seller defects.

If you don't agree they can cancel with a bogus reason and suffer all the negative feedback whilst you get a refund.
The item they are offering to substitute is not equivalent in my opinion.

      • +2

I pointed out their original replacement was inferior they now are offering their ranger IQ instead which seems like a decent indoor camera but still not comparable to the LOOC

        • +2

I'm not interested in internal cameras that I don't have full control over.
I don't mind these potential security risk cameras for outside areas - such as property access points, remote sheds etc.
If your security camera can be backed up to the cloud by you, it can also be backed up to the cloud by someone else.
I have asked for an equivalent external camera as a substitute.

  • +3

Yep, no, I will not be cancelling. Gonna remind them of their obligations under Australian Consumer Law, throw in a few mentions of various Ombudsman and consumer protection departments and threats of complaints and see where it gets me.

    • Can I copy your template thanks

    • Just got word from them again

really sorry friend, because the winit warehouse missing our stock, and they can't find it now,we can't control this,so we must take other ways,we are try to solve this problem Actively,we can ship the other camera for higher cost to replace,or we can cancel this order and refund to you as soon as possible, you can have a see!

Hope you can understand!thank you very much!

  • Weird that mine wasn't cancelled and is apparently ready to ship. I ordered one camera and one cover.

  • Ultimately, somebody stuffed up by the sounds of things. It happens even to the best of stores. No need to get nasty with all Neg reviews. I have purchased from IMOU in the past, decent pricing and quick shipping. They also are trying to make amends by offering the other Cam rather than just a refund. That's my take at least.

    • If the other camera was in some way comparable I’d agree, but offering a low quality indoor camera is not even close to what was actually ordered and cannot even be used in the same settings

  • +1

UPDATE: Managed to get them to ship it! They magically found the missing stock in their warehouse. Everyone keep trying! Make sure you know your rights.

  • +1

Has anyone who ordered from the more expensive listing received the message/email requesting to cancel?

Or are they only asking those who paid ~$3 less and ordered from the original deal link?

    • Yeah they tried to get me to cancel from the more expensive link. They've shipped it now, see above.

    • yeah they asking me to cancel

  • Just got an email saying they can't find the stock, even though I already have a tracking number. They are offering a different camera at higher price, or to cancel and refund.

    • I suspect that they need to show the order as having movement so they generate a Shipping notice. I'll assume you did not communicate with them i.e. reply to their initial email? This way their order processing time stays within a quick time range……..regardless of whether it is in fact shipped.

      • This is the first communication I've had with them after the shipping notice yesterday. Their reason for cancellation sounds made up as there was a fixed number of units available - wish they'd just say we screwed up if the pricing was in fact an error.

  • +1

They sent me the same emails as above and tried to get me to cancel.
I replied no thanks I want what I ordered.

They replied ok friend and 5 mins later I got shipping notification

    • same here

    • +3

Shipping notices are provided when the seller associates the order to a Austpost prepaid shipping label. It doesn't mean stock is there nor in process to actual shipping. It's annoying as it could sit for a week with no movement. Let us know when it tracks as being received by AustPost and on the actual way.

      • Order is on the way, tracked by AusPost, but from something called "Union Lucky Returns".

        • I told them not to cancel my order or refund until I get back to them. They did create a Austpost Shipping label on the day to cover their timeline. What I didn't expect was to receive (two mins ago) a "Order is on the way, tracked by AusPost," and like yourself from "Union Lucky Returns".

Mmm, wonder what they are shipping!

          • @Borg: @jazzer: what did you receive?
My packagd arrived. Cheeky buggers just sent the White Silicon Cover for the camera which I didn't order. My guess, they shipped the cheapest item in stock as they didn't want an order for the Camera sitting on their systems. Now they can just refund me which is what I told them NOT to do as I was happy to wait for camera stock!

            • @Borg: My order didn't arrive yet, it's set to arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed they don't wrong me like they did you.

            • @Borg: I got sent the LOOC just as I ordered.

              • @Jazzer: Nice. Lucky you. I asked them why the shipped rubbish part and they said that they had to ship something and would give me discount when new ones arrive. It better be full discount at price paid for and noted in this post. Thanks for confirming.

            • @Borg: That's unlucky, sent me the camera and silicon cover

              • @Leonidas: Does your camera work? Mine just blinks red no matter how many times I reset it. Sent seller a message and opened a request for return.

  • They’re now claiming it’s 2 months for more stock and I should cancel now and they’ll give me a discount on another model and 1 year free cloud…..I’m just going to wait

  • +1

Seller cancelled my order with a bogus excuse - "Something was wrong with the buyer's delivery address."

It's not easy to leave feedback on a cancelled item as it disappears from your summary, but you should be able to find it by going into your own feedback and looking for recent orders.

You need to wait 7 days to leave negative feedback now. (More Fleabay BS) - I've added it into my calendar.

    • They left me positive feedback, but in 7 days I’ll be leaving them negative

  • They just issue me a refund because of the missing stock at their warehouse.

They should treat this as a free marketing if they fullfil the orders. But now is a bad marketing for them

  • Yep just got the same something wrong with address nonsense and a refund

  • they are offering to ship from what it looks like the ranger iq is that a good swap or not

    • The ranger they offered me was an indoor one, so wasn’t comparable as I need outdoor

      • is there a way to make a indoor camera outdoor

      • I think there offering me cruiser camera should i take it

        • They did the same to me and i accepted. It looks like a decent alternative

          • @too_much_boost: Which one is it, can you put a link here?

            • +1

              @Borg: This one

              https://www.amazon.com.au/IMOU-Cruiser-Camera-SECURITE-EXT/d…

I got 4 of them for $120 delivered or so. They also put 4 silicon covers for the LOOC camera that i originally ordered that are no use to me now!

These things are huge and probably alot better than the LOOC. That said i'd probably be happy to swap 2 of these for 2 LOOCs if anyone in Sydney wants to trade

              • @too_much_boost: 4 for $120 is decent but whoo haa……massive indeed. You will need scaffolding for those :-)
