  • Amazing price. But I just had a new tv last year, can not keep up every year. Maybe will get a C4 into he future.

    • this is last years model

      • +13

I know, last year I had a 2020 model. I buy tv one year behaind. Lol for cheaper price.

      • -1

Yeah it says that in the title.

      • For reference, the new model is $4,500.

        • +2

Exactly. Prices are going up. Inflation and all that. I doubt we will see prices as low as this again. I would be buying now.

          • @Foxxster: I'm just going to laugh at all the clowns thinking these EOL will go cheaper..then the new models come out and complain that $4500 is too expensive for new models too funny

  • Also similar in eBay

    • -2

      Meaning?

  • Why no love for G1 discounts, need a price protection claim

  • Really good tv :)

  • Do I upgrade from a 55” C9?

    • PQ will probably be fairly similar (just a guess) but the jump from 55 to 65 is pretty awesome. You could probably get a few $ back for the C9 on marketplace.

    • +1

If you are wanting to upgrade screen size in the next year or so then yes. The price of the c2 65 inch is 4,500. Which means when the c3 comes out it will only be discounted to around 3,500. You will not be seeing 2,850 for a c series 65 inch again.

      • Yeah I wonder.

With QD Oled coming in cheaper than expected we might given the competition.

But probably not for a while until supply chain issues etc.

  • Average price. Been cheaper.

  • +4

I know it's been cheaper, but decided to finally get it. Thanks OP!

  • People who have this TV - is the stand height adjustable? If not, a sound bar would block bottom of the screen right? it looks quite low in the ad photos.

    • You'll need a tv stand raiser.

      • +1

We got a few old shelves from the scratch and dent area of IKEA to stand it on.

        • I was thinking of getting a black shelf from ikea to raise it a tad as well. 👌

          • +1

@trappy76: Just watch the load. I used three of the solid ones. I, think, they were 5 dollars each.

    • No, not adjustable but I got a Sony HTS-350 soundbar and it hasn’t bothered me at all. Chops off very little. Subtitles weren’t an issue.

  • Any good tv mounters in Sydney?

  • +1

Will cardoons look good on this

    • +2

Yes, and also cartoons will look good on this TV

      • +6

        But whad about cardoons??

    • +1

I was watching a YouTube and the Sand Dunes looked fine. As for car dunes…. It’s hard to say.

  • Anyone have any experience picking one up? Will this fit in a Hyundai IX35?

    • +3

You need to transport it standing up (can’t lay it flat). Not going to fit in an IX35. Honestly the delivery fee is worth every penny.

      • Agree! I used to ball at the $ fee for delivery, once TVs got above 65 inch it meant a ute or van is typically required.

Time and effort to find one, pick it up and then get it home now validates the $50-80 fee for me anyway. If I had a ute or van maybe different.

      • Agree with delivery fee. But transporting flat in original packaging will be fine.

        • +2

Though I have not seen a MythBusters episode on this, the logic provided that a panel of that size laying flat and subjected to a sufficient bump during the journey may result in damage seems legitimate.

I wouldn't take that risk and you won't have much success with attempting a return for this type of issue.

But I certainly know people that have risked it.

    • I may have gotten lucky, but transported my Sony 65 OLED lying flat on a bed of towel and sheet suspension, no problems

  • +1

Anyone know a good place to buy discounted JB gift cards?

AAMI lucky is limited to $1000 and shutting down app.

    Thanks.

Bought one of the first OLEDs out and still love mine, the best picture quality and amazing for movies.

    • I’m still sore about the Sony Education Price :/

I never received the Verification email in time.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Just purchased. Can’t wait to set it up.

    • +1

I'm excited for you! I bought this TV in July 2021 for $2956 from another JB deal and I highly recommend it to anyone. Hope you have bangin' audio setup in mind to support the amazing picture quality this TV produces

      • Thanks mate. The audio setup is the next thing for purchase. Have you got any recommendations

        • I originally wanted a receiver + 5.1 setup but due to lack of space in my media room, I opted for the Samsung HW950 soundbar. I must say that I'm quite impressed by the sound quality. Movies and games sound amazing but music needs some tweaking. You won't regret it!

          • +1

@dealsforlife: Thanks for the deal and recommendation. I'll have a look into it 👌👌👌

  • I was able to price match this price in store: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/694901

Then they let me apply this coupon for $2,710.60 delivered.

    • That deal was $2850 with possibly free delivery, how did you price match to $2,710? Do you have a receipt that you can share?

      • Because there was 5% off coupon yesterday and Friday at JB store wide: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/694767

It's expired though so you won't be able to match it.

Other people tried other stores and seems I just lucked in they would price match then add the 5% off on top.

So tempting but holding out on the Samsung S95B

  • Just pulled the trigger, $2,495 including the delivery.
Stacked with 15% off TCN Home cards, $2,120 finally paid.
Thank you JB Hi-Fi and all the good people that helped me.
    )
    • Woah how’d you get it down to $2500? I was stoked with my $2700 haha

Did they beat $2850, then add 5% off?

    • Yeh I also asked for a further discount and got it down to $1,950 delivered. Super friendly JB Staff!

      • +1

        For the 65 inch?!

Do you have a receipt I can use?

    • +1

Wow you got receipt? That is awesome deal!
