So this would work with the LG C1 65” TV?

    • +2

      Yeh I don’t see why not :)
It wasn’t listed in their donts so after cashback it should be less than $2800 for the C1

  • Can gift cards be used as payment method?

    • DONT’S

“Promo codes or voucher codes not approved by Shopback & Gift card purchases unless otherwise stated”

      • +3

I'd assume that means not buying Giftcards from the store itself and getting cash back on them rather than using gift cards as payment. But doesn't state it properly.

    • +1

You can use gift cards however you are limited to a maximum of 2x e-giftcards when purchasing via the website and is stated in their terms and conditions when using this as a payment method.

Just be mindful of this imposed limitation (the good guys) when paying via gift card online.

You can stack shopback gift card purchases (The Good Guys) with this deal.
I believe the Max e-giftcards value when purchasing through shopback is $3000 + $2000 ($5000) initially and can only be purchased via shopback mobile app.

  • Mobile extra 0%, is that mean for buying a mobile phone?
    Or
Can I get 8% cashback to buy one or more mobile phone?

    • I would assume Mobile Extras refer to extended warranty by TGG or even their Telstra mobile plans etc

Mobile phones are tracked at 8% except for iPhones

    • +1

Mobile Extras is the name of the service that TGG has partnered with SquareTrade to provide (ability to trade in phones after you’ve used it for a while, accidental damage cover etc.)

      Formerly associated, not anymore.

Got a $30 discount code from them in SMS, guess that is no go to use with this deal….

I recon electronic retailer should just get off platforms like Shop back and Cash rewards. if you can't or don't want to give the discount then get the hell out. They want the exposure but don't want to pay so put all these exclusions on the offer. This is just as F up as Appliance Online exclude all the world for deliveries whenever a discount hits their ebay store. All a bunch of AHs!!

    • DONTs

Promo codes or voucher codes not approved by ShopBack & Gift card purchases unless otherwise stated

  • Can join TGG commercial for bigger savings. $50 one year with G'day Parks
Also give discount on camping sites Australia wide .

  • -1

AEG is 0%, does that mean other associated brands like Westinghouse, Electrolux, chef etc also 0%?

    • +3

Just AEG will be at 0%, the rest you mentioned above are separate brands
      Should track at 8%

  • -2

Bought a TV from TGG ebay shop, immediately 8% discount, mix with 3% shopback ebay gift card , so if you can find the stuff on ebay, extra save.

    • +2

      That is incorrect.
ebay is ebay (regardless if The Good Guys have an ebay store) on there.

You will only get 8% cash back for purchases at (www.thegoodguys.com.au).

    • +1

I don’t see any current valid coupons for 8% for TGG eBay store?
If you’re buying from eBay, currently it’s only up to 4% cashback

      • 8% off code: TOPITUP.

        • Sorry, it’s not for all the products on their eBay store. I read H_J comment as immediately all products at 8% off

If you can find stuff on eBay that’s cheaper than their online store, then I don’t see why not :)

  • If only TGG would get off their butt and pricematch myer, David Jones, etc who have the standard sale on philips. Alas, the stars do not align and TGG isn't that concerned about having competitive prices

    • if you want a pricematch you'll have to ask them. Occasionally if the item you are looking at has been pricematched by them, there might be a pop up window with the lower price

    • TGG and JB are the same parent company, so they both are able to price match, but not price beat. They could offer lower or same pricing to the item

But on ShopBack, the upsized is not valid for any items that have been price matched, so I guess gotta weigh up the benefits

      • I know. It's a comment that TGG need to try harder.

        • +1

They’re slacking ngl, TGG used to be consistently checking for competitors pricing but Amazon seems to be doing a better job in that department

  • Do these work on the good guys commercial site?

    • +2

Different domains, only works on thegoodguys.com.au

  • +2

What about for their own internal best price price check?

    • This is the "Price Check Now" button that is found in to of the"Buy Now" button found on whitegoods

      • I would assume it falls in the:

Negotiated offers (for example through live chat and the on the phone/ Deals with a Sales Rep)

        • Can anyone confirm if this is true, that the 8% does not work if a 'Price Beat Discount' is applied.

  • how about dyson?
