Please confirm this is the upgrade edition AND not a knock off

    • sry about late reply.its upgrade version.

  • Wha do you guys think of this model - heard a lot of good thinks - only bit that I dont like is that its a bit heavier than a Galaxy 10.1 etc

  • please dont shout

    • I'M NOT SHOUTING I JUST CAN'T FIND THE VOLUME BUTTON.

Oh there it is, squished between the 'Shift' & 'Tab' keys :P

    http://www.mcbub.com/item/8GB-HD-A9-Tablet-PC-10-2-inch-Zeni…

Not bad, cheapest on Ebay is $215.

Really want something with built-in 3G support like the MyTab.

  • I bought a Zt180 a year ago and it claimed 1GHz, etc but it was incredibly slow and then stopped booting a month later. Had reflashed many many times due to this as it was the only way to recover from this common problem. Heaps of apps didn't work on it. I must have wasted hundreds of hours of reading and research for my one… I doubt Zenithink would have improved their support levels. I'm keeping Zenithink at a distance.

This is My 2012 review not a year old opinion…

Your wrong there…, I got mine 2 months ago, it is FANTASTIC their new 4.0ICS is smooth as butter, What have I not done with it is the question…, battery is fantastic, very crisp & clear screen !, I was amazed a chinese tablet could be this good value…, only problem with it is the App range available, if there is any App you want and cannot see it in the App store, simply download the apk file and install it…(obviously not Tegra games)

I bought mine(1GB ver.) from eBay and paid $203($188+15P/H) with express postage and 5 freebies including a huge keyboard/book style cover, and other little bits…, pretty handy !

Fact of the matter is, when I bought this I went searching high and low for a decent cheap tablet, unfortunately everyone selling HP Touchpads in QLD had sold out…., I had a look at all the big and fancy tablets ranging from $350+, what a waste for a beginner who hasn't got a clue what to use it for….

A very good product & highly recommended, you own't be dissapointed !, as for support you're talking software related bugs, since buying my tablet they have had 3 updates in 2 months(very good service IMHO).

The warranty is for hardware like any other tablet…

      • how can you tell popo he/she is wrong??
they are telling us their experience..
were you there… did you see what happened… where is your proof that what they have said is not an accurate representation of their experience??

they are not misleading us with an old r/v - they are forward and upfront..

        • +1

Let me just say popo has never used the 4.0ICS/ 1GB DDR3 version which is for sale here and NOW, thats why he/she is wrong !, you want proof ? I am uploading it right now buddy… yea right ! lol

You talk about the deal posted, same specs same everything, don't live in a balloon dear…, If you had a bad support experience that's fine, if you read what i wrote I spoke about the current product…

The sheer level of patches they have done since a year has fixed a LOT of things, you want to describe your experience with a like for like product and event.

Oh and I know she is wrong because I have this ZT280 and he/she has ZT180, and NOTHING of that sort has ever happened, did it ever occur to you that people who own this model know what they are talking about ?

        • +2

They probably have the old model with the 512mb ram.

New is 1gb and better processor and should be labelled clearly ZT-280 c91 upgrade or ZT-282 c91

        • +2

No as Poppo said he/she has the ZT180 they don't support it, make it or sell it anymore…

        • its upgrade version coming with 1gb ram.reply for pandabargain.

    • In that case, this "deal" wouldn't be a Deal at all…

      Don't be shy…

      Why not NEG this deal?

(It warns innocent bystanders of the risks.)

      • sry, popo is talking about different product(also same brand).our deal is new ZT280 c91 upgrade version.

        • Correct. It was just my experience with the PREVIOUS model along with Zenithink's after sales support that I wanted to share. They never did fix that bug (they did release at least 1 update) and they've moved on to a new model. So thanks to Kikkoman's and Elijah's review and the Rep's warranty, it may be worth buying. So I will not NEG the deal.

Even though a lot of people lost their data and time (reflashing and re-installing apps), noone wrote a bad review on the old model and I got suckered into buying one too. Maybe people had a hard time coming to grips with forking out $200 for a beta product or just accepted the fact that you got what you paid for at the time.

    • You're getting the products confused the ZT-180 is the previous model. ZT-180 had an 800 Mhz ARM11 + Vivante GC600 which they advertised as a Cortex A8 1Ghz. This one uses an AMLogic AML8726 Chipset with a 800Mhz or 1Ghz CPU (edited to include) Cortex A9 and Mali-400 GPU both are miles faster than that previous hunk of junk. These newer chipsets found in the majority of these chinese tablets aren't that bad anymore. Not only that Zenithink is actually a good company in terms of aftermarket support in comparison to some other chinese tablets. Some of them don't even have the product shown on their website. I bought another AML8726 tablet but unfortunately I got one which had no model information or anything. Eventually after hours of searching I found the website in chinese, but there was no updates or nothing available.

      tl dr;
zt180 sucked, zt280 is good but from what i remember reading the battery life isnt so good.
zenithink is actually not so bad of a brand.

  • Yay and bugger
Yayyy sounds like a perfect replacement for the winpad 10 I just got a refund for
Bugger - I just bought a dreambook as an interim replacement…

Oh ozbargain, how I hate you sometimes…

  • fast express post,we located at Sydney.

  • I don't suppose there are any -published- reviews of this product to compare to those of people here?

    • try google it,you will find lots reviews. may help.

    • +2

this product looks quite interesting, but I can't seem to find much in the way of reviews.

      here's one i found:
      http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1893349

      anyone found other reviews?

    • +1

Not many official reviews but if anything trawl slatedroid forums or ask. Slatedroid is my goto place for any info regarding android tablets. Here's the ZT280 forum
      http://www.slatedroid.com/forum/319-zenithink/
I'm pretty sure the one this guy is advertising is the C91 Upgrade, as far as I can tell the only change from the normal C91 is the upgraded ram and apparently upgraded battery so in terms of performance you should be able to get a good judgement from a review of the normal C91 if there is no reviews of the C91 Upgrade (I couldn't find any in the C91 Upgrade sub-forum).

"*Actual weight could vary by configuration and manufacturing process."

    Imagining:

A: "Hey, Joey, we're run out of aluminum, out here…"

B: "No problem, Harry, take this cardboard strip from my pizza box… Be sure to wipe the sauce & cheese off before installing it."

    A: "T'anks, Joey; you're a genius!"

  • I wonder if this tablet is anyway related to my Viewsonic gTablet. Aside from the RAM and CPU difference, the charger in the picture below and the design are almost identical.

    https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-MoFVbNUY_mc/T46Trsn8JYI/A…

    • totally different product.
but may have same factory for power adapter? not 100% sure.

  • How much would a Spare Battery cost?

Are Spare Batteries available in Quantity?
(If so, for how much each?)

Include S+H, in each case, thanks.

  • It looks to me like these 8 GB models are obsolete:

There's a 24 GB model already available for $215 (ie, $30 more for 16 GB more storage, a USB keyboar, case, & up to 7 more "gifts"):

    "'10.1' 24 GB ZT280 C91 Android 4.0 Cortex A9 1.0GHz Tablet PC + Keyboard Case + 7gifts"

    • +1

look closely its 8GB + 16GB Micro SD .. so pretty much the same, although this listing has more "free accessories"

    • they are same tablet.and 16gb micro sd card only cost you $16.25 on our website.
one more important different is our located at Sydney and your poster is in China.
      The service will big different.

  • Does it support external microSD card?

    • yes.

  • Which one is better compared to AINOL NOVO 7 ELF/AURORA?

    • I have checked by Ainol website. all sepcs are similar and NOVO 7even have better CPU but main thing is our product is 10.2" screen and AINOL one is 7".

      • The Ainol Novo 7 Aurora has a better display, more reliable, cheaper, and smoother. You know what to do.

        • Got a link for the Ainol Novo that is cheaper? I only found spemall for roughly the same price.

Finding it really hard to decide between the Ainol Novo or this…

    Cuppla questions:

    What length is the warranty?

Where is it fixed under warranty?

Does it have full android market access?

Who pays for freight for warranty?

    thank you

    • All Valid questions, @ rep waiting for your response….

    • All products we selling are covered by one year warranty.
The faulty device will be test local and fixed in lab or sent back oversea(depend which parts are faulty).
but we will support replacement if need sent back for overseas.
It has full android market access.
And for warranty postage we cover half way as usual.

      thanks~

    • built in

why not bag this one from aliexpress-?
    http://tinyurl.com/7mf9umt

    US$ 159.88

    • It could be a fake?

  • Trying to order now, apparently out of stock.

Just got home from work and missed out. Rep any chance of new stock arriving early this week so I can give one to my mother for mother's day?

    • re instock now. sry about delay.

  • Out of stock?

    • Must be problem with related products. Please fix.

  • As per altomic post: Aliexpress sell the same product for US$159.88 (about A$157) incl. free delivery.
Any reason why should anyone buy from you?

    • +1

The specs advertised on Aliexpress don't seem to match the C91 Upgrade here nor on Zenithink's official website.

      Official page: http://www.zenithink.com/Eproducts_C91_2.php

      Differences:
RAM: 512MB on Ali, 1GB official & secupro
Battery: 6000mAh on Ali, 7000mAh official & secupro

Now the original C91 (non-upgrade, see http://www.zenithink.com/Eproducts_C91.php) has 512MB RAM, but the battery capacity was still 7000mAh, so Ali still doesn't match up to the old model.

I'm not in the position to make the call on whether it's fake or not, but if this particular spec'ed model is real I'd rather pay a little more to Secupro for 1GB RAM and extra 1000mAH battery.

  • Under Cable, Wireless and Cellular, its says USB 3G module?

What does that mean? I can use a SIM card or it just can plugin a USB dongle?

  • Does anyone know if it has built-in gps navigation?
