    These vent holders never hold properly, the weight drags the vent down and the phone ends up falling out or the whole holder falling off

      Yeah I've not had much luck with them. They also wear on the vents over time also.

        Option I posted below is my go to. Got them for myself and family friends. Not on the cheap side, but then again neither is a cracked screen on a flagship phone. Realise it's not vent.

      After pretty extensive research I went for an iOttie Easy One Touch 5 Dash & Windshield Mount, 6 months ago. Endured near zero Celsius and direct extremely high temps in country Victoria. Nil regrets. Rock solid.

          @arctan I did a bit more digging to find the best price. Looks like Autobarn on sale for $40.79 is fairly competitive.

            @AdamFury: Yeah I paid $42.70 on eBay. That included a voucher for a few bucks off. My advice would be really focus on that initial application. Clean, flat surface. Press and hold the included adhesive disc for longer than it makes you comfortable, with as much force as you're got. I've had my S10+ on there for hundreds of hours. Only yesterday, I was on unsealed bumpy af roads. Not a hassle because I applied it right first time, you can pick up further genuine adhesive pads for about $10 but shouldn't need another unless you get a new vehicle.
