The three Seiko Chronograph SSB's look nice. Small and light too.
Few good ones in there this weekend.

  • Any deals on higher end watches 1k+

Loving the Fugu tbh. The rounded case and bracelet are different to anything I have. Also as far as my watches go; no sapphire, no deal.

    • I recently got this model, it's very nice. As the watch channel review says, sometimes it almost looks black indoors but when outside you can see it has a dark green sunburst dial.

      • Was it this price recently as well when it went on discount or was it cheaper?

Yeah it looks very nice on the video but if only it was a little smaller and bracelet better from the other cheaper citizens.

        • It was cheaper. I almost got it when it was $349 a few weekends ago.

Wow, that Seiko 5 Sports SRPG61K in grey is amazing.

Yeah i was buying a Toyota the other day and thought to my self, why not just buy a Ferrari? Silly me

Funny why you would mention breitling of all things. Firstly it's one of several great watches in that tier but there are watches with more pedigree than breitling in that price bracket such as IWC, grand seiko, even tudor

  • I wish the NATO band one was on sale :(

    • If it’s the same dial colour you can just source an after market nato. They tend to run cheaper than OEM bracelets.

Christ those Citizen watches are ugly.

  • I have an old Citizen eco-drive AW0010-01E. It has been long time I left the day and date incorrect. Today I am trying to set them up. Following instruction I pulled the crown one click out and turn clockwise to set the day. But the day won't change. And then I also notice when trying to get the AM/PM of the time, the date changes at 10.

Is there anyway to reset it? Thanks.

    • You need to let it sit in the sun for awhile preferably with the crown pulled all the way out, it charges faster that way and then you should be able to set it.

      • Do you reckon it's because the battery isn't charged enough? It doesn't show the second hand jumps in 2 seconds movement. But I will expose it under sun and try again.

Yep that's probably it, leave it under the sun for an hour or so

  • Dang!! I bought Seiko 5 Sports SRPG61K last night but didn't know about this code! oh well…

  • Not sure if the SPRG29 comes in a black face, I like the legibility and still don't have a field / flieger watch, and think a 42mm could possibly be better.

Looks good otherwise, updated movement with handwinding and hacking, just a shame the Seiko bracelets are such junk (cheap, rattles, Hollow end links, cheap clasp, hardly any micro adjust).

I got one of those snklwe dress watches, wear with bond nato. only 38mm I think. The dial and hands are really nice still not that easy to read the time. The SPRG29 could be a bit thick with a nato as Jody says in that video, hmm.

  • The oris for $1299 is actually a decent buy with a beautiful dial

    • Which one is that?
      Wouldn't mind a diver's Sixty-Five
I've got an Aquis from about 2012, love the look of the rubber strap but kind of fits a bit big now that I've got a few other watches, and have learnt a bit more about a good fit. I may just stick to the bracelet exec though it's pretty chunky.. I did buy a new rubber strap though

They have since come out with a smaller model too.

  • Sorry a knoob question. Automatic watch movement means "it works from the energy it receives while we're wearing it", correct? It doesn't require any batteries in it?

      • Thanks mate

The movement of your wrist rotates using a spring and oscillating balance wheel.
      No batteries required.
However these if not used for than 40 or so hours will stop working requiring you to recalibrate or have a watch winder. Every couple of years might need a service as well

      • Cheers for that

  • I am a watch noob but I was wondering if anyone have experience with Pagani Design. They look way better value with sapphire and japanease movement.

    • Yes I have a few, great value and quality.
Good when there's a sale on and or have some coupons. Just get it from the official store.

      • Thanks. They looks amazing value with all the bells and whistles. Will order one during next sale. I can choose between seiko and Miyota movement. Which one would you suggest.

        • NH35 or NH36 (day date) is the go over Miyota. Check out the YouTube channel Justonemorewatch

    • I bought my first pagani design watch (PD1718) during the aliexpress anniversary sale for $106 aud (which I could've gotten for $92 if I didn't opt for their fancier watch box). There is a very small scuff mark on the SS bracelet and watch case out of the box but I'm overall satisfied for the price I paid for the specs of the watch.
