Logitech Mothers Day Specials - inc Logitech Wireless Headset F540 for $149.98

52

Email received today with the above link for Mothers Day. Some good specials but the stand out for me was the Logitech Wireless Headset F540 for under $150. Putting it in the shopping cart also showed free shipping! Staticice and others seem to show over $200 elsewhere. See if there's something for your Mum (or you)!

Unless she is skyping over PS3 or 360, good luck?

Yep. apparently the mic doesnt work with PC. Copie thinking of the g930 (which I have).

LTS have these on sale sometimes for $119 and they are a lot nicer than the f540's in their design/additional bindable keys on the headset itself.

this isn't a good deal at all.

Yup, I have the G930 as well. I've been through a G30 (now broken) and was looking to get a F540 for my consoles. All 3 use the same basic 'headset' and differ only in a few different features. Very comfortable headset. Unfortunately, I'm either too rough with mine or they aren't as good quality as I'd like to think. I've had 2 break on me around the ear-joints or the microphone joints. Still something I'd recommend though…

        • Call our Support Team on 1800 025 544 as you may be able to get them replaced under warranty.

      • F540 is more for consoles… it does have a pass-through function via RCA, but not really for PC's though.

  • adding $80 or more worth of stuff to the cart qualifies for the free shipping

  • Quick check on ebay shows that you can buy the F540 overseas for much cheaper.

    • refurb

    • If you do, make sure to check with the seller as to who provides Warranty should there be any issues (we don't have international warranty) and also check Power Requirements etc and if the units are brand new or refurb (we typically don't sell refurb units)

Half the items are cheaper from www.logitechshop.com.au with mostly free delivery (using the PS3 Harmoney adapter as an example)

    • there will be lots of great deals around for Mother's Day from our resellers, retailers etc - so have fun hunting around OB's! :-)

      • Shame the K400 isnt on special hint hint

Don't insult my mother like this again, thumbs DOWN

    • Dungman - there are other things in the specials that may be suitable for tech-savvy Mums. The headset just happened to be something that I liked, unlike the hot-pink solar Mac keyboard. Sorry if you felt I was being insulting but it was not intended that way.

  • My mum looks great in a Logitech Headset. no pics.

    • hahah go on send us some pics

For anyone thinking of getting a F540: I just got mine a few days ago, using it right now actually. Ordered a new one for $105 shipped from a US seller on eBay without retail packaging. It came in a 'Mophie' box and the instructions were printed on a large sheet of paper lol.
At the time, the logitech shop had it for $149 (now they're $179 for some reason) but with my bad experience with logitech warranty, I figured I'd take the risk rather than pay 50% more.

The sound works fine with my laptop, haven't tried the mic yet.
It doesn't work with my phone for some reason, maybe not enough voltage but strangely enough it works with a DSi XL.
Like some people have reported, mine also has a low hum that can be heard when no music is on.

As the logitech rep said, this is mainly for consoles. PC users should look towards the G930.
However, the F540 has a 3.5mm that could theoretically work with all media players. (Except my phone(SGS2) apparently)
