Weihenstephaner 500ml Varieties - 4 for $15 + Delivery ($0 with $150 Order) @ Vintage Cellars

650

I love the Weihenstephaner beers, straight from Barvaria, Germany.

They're rarely on special, so 4 for $15 is a bargain. Nornally $7 each. Includes the Hefe Weissbier, Original Helles and Pilsner, you can mix-and-match.

Warning: not screw top, so don't use your teeth. Find one of those cool people with a bottle opener on their key ring. In Perth, those people are from south of the river.

    Straight from Barvaria, Germany

When I'm in Germany, I don't go to too many bars, but when I do, I go to Barvaria.

  • Great find, thanks for sharing. Hopefully not short dated. Had to pay for delivery as it was saying no stock in store (possibly all NSW?) and deleting from my cart.

    • Cheers. I was in-store, my daughter wanted to go onto the cool room for some strange reason and there they were!

      • Oh and my best-before is November 2022.

        • Hope they are not being shipped from Perth!

    Warning: not screw top

I think that warning applies to 99% of the beer on the market - I can only think of a tiny number that come in screwtop bottles 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah true. I was just getting a cheeky 4 for a BBQ at the park across the road, so this warning was more for me!

There's a few other interesting beers also part of the same 4 for $15 deal :

      Tequila-flavoured beer 6% 500mL!! 😮

Desperados is the world’s first Tequila flavoured beer. A distinctive combination of full bodied lager with a kick of Tequila flavour. A light & refreshing taste profile balanced with spicy and lemony notes for sweetness.

they have had this deal for a while now …… usually i get a mixture of pils and some HB and it doesn’t check out correctly and cashier needs to adjust …… it’s single bottles at close to slab price ….they also have some 500ml cans of beer as part of the 4 for $15 deal,

i was told it was because they were close to use by date but all of the ones i’ve had have a few months left ….. the also have HB dunkel as part of the offer if not into wheat beers ……

Just bought some of the 3 for $15 HB Dunkel from VC Melville. Just received more stock. Also Paulaner large can on special 4 for $15.

15 for 4 is a bargain … No way. It is $3.75 per bottle.

Could have all this beer with a free holiday:
    Usually around EUR 14.99 for 20 —> is around $22.36 —> $1.12 per bottle

Problem is you need to factor in the flight to Germany :-). The cheapest I found on Ozbargain was $648 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/659534
So after approx. 578 bottles you could have a free trip to Germany when you would drink all this beer over there. Now imagine you buy beer at non bargain price.

    • LOL but the overseas price isn't relevant. If you want to buy beer in Australia you need to pay the Australian prices.

      • +2

I know … that's why I added the flight price to it :-) Cheaper after 578 bottles.
(Don't take it serious … just to show how much we pay for some things. Even an Australian made beer is way overpriced!.I still rated it positive as it is great beer (and by our standards an OK price!)

    • How much for accommodation?

Price beaten at Dan Murphys at 4 for 14.

  • Price matched at Dan's 4 for $14, cleaned the shelf out, got 24 of them. The guy behind the counter agreed it was a ripper deal
