  • Nice spotting, but this is a deal breaker for me:

    Compatibility

Audeo PFE with microphone is compatible with MP3 players, all iPods and all iPhones but does not support any volume change or voice control. The compatibility with other mobile digital devices with a 3.5mm 4 contact stereo jack can not be guaranteed.

    • I think it's mostly a "cover your ass" disclaimer; these things are usually compatible with all modern smartphones.

Edit: Or maybe not, looking at gillyske's comment.

      • A $5 adaptor cable fixes this.

  • I tried these on my Samsung Galaxy S 1 and it will not produce sound properly, so strike out all S1 users. As in, i plugged them in, they produced soft vocals to inaudible vocals. The non mic version works fine and is what i bought.

    • Samsung Galaxy S phones use the same 3.5mm TRRS connection type as iPhone, but they're wired to left/right speakers and mic/remote differently - so ALL iPhone compatible headsets won't work on these phones without an adaptor. Nexus S/Galaxy Nexus are a different story though, they work fine.

I'm pretty sure a-Jays One+ come with an adaptor to make the iPhone style TRRS connection work properly.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that all HTC, Sony/Sony-Erricson, LG and Huawei phones, along with the Nexus line are compatible with iPhone headsets (with the exception of in-line volume control buttons, they will never work with Android).

    • As noted above, an adaptor fixes sound problems.

If you want to know which phones you'll need the adaptor for, use the meelec website. Then look up the adaptor there. They have a massive compatibility list on their site.

  • I bought these for $150+ over a year ago. They sound fantastic, better than other canalphones I have tried in the same price range (Sennheiser, Shure, UE, Etymotic, etc) At this price, you won't find anything better out there, especially with a remote/mic. Highly recommended for all genres of music.

These worked perfectly with my iPhone and SGS2. To use them with my SGS1, I had to use an adaptor.

Now I wish there would be a 50% off (or 75% off) deal for the PFE232…

  • Seems to have gone up to 129.96 :/

    • My bad… even though it says that price on the page, when you order it shows up as per the original post.
