Hi Ozbargainers,

One thing that certain about Ozbargain, folks aren't backward in coming forward! So many kind words from 99% of people, but also plenty of people who most likely mean well, but sometimes come across a bit "direct". I receive lots of emails, PM's and calls from people with suggestions, in blending the most common comments together, I've come up with today's deal.

Key KPI's people have spelled out for me which I am trying to achieve today:
"Don't run all the deals at night, working people who surf ozbargain at work keep missing out on your deals" Umm apologies in advance, I tried to post on Friday morning, but I had exceeded rep posting guidelines sorry.
"Always include Fexo, but we want to try other hayfever meds, do more deals with a variety of hayfever meds for us to try"
"Keep restocking the older deals, I want to re-order X but can't find it on your garbage website / you've raised the price"
"WHERE IS MY ITEM !! Don't use COVID as an excuse for slow delivery - AT LEAST GIVE FREE EXPRESS POST DELIVERY"
"You've clearly got allot of supporters on Ozbargain, but since YOU took 10 days to deliver my item, I wont buy from you again unless you give free express post"
"We want to add XYZ to the bundle but we also want that item shipped at the same time as the main bundle via express for no extra cost, make it easy for us to add to the bundle"

So… today, during office working hours, we have:

  • Can you match panamax from cw for 2.99

    • +7

No sorry - Community pharmacies just can't compete at all on Panamax, CW sell this as a loss leader, wait until they have it for 69-99c and stock up then, I think we have it in store for around $3.49 and even then if someone pays by credit card, pretty sure we come close to break even ;-)

  • +15

Can't get over some of those comments. People are just rude.

    • +13

Builds character, but I now know why some retail workers appear to be complete "jerks", the customers make them that way:

      dear sir
yes today is 5 working days parcel is coming by walk
if i post any normal post letter to any where in australia it delivered next day or at most the day after
you must have cheap service with aus post.

you have very dirty service for delivery
      i should receive yesturday

      • +7

Haha! Who are these people? Maybe they should check out the AusPost thread on Whirlpool. Anything this side of 2 weeks is great tbh.

My order is in. Happy to be supporting local small businesses 👍

      • +1

I might subscribe to your deals just for the entertainment factor. :)

      • +4

        That "yesturday" got me.

      • +7

People are rude, you don't deserve this. Have been using this service for two years and deals have been great and service too. Can't speak kinder words

      • +6

That guy puts the TURD in yesturday

  • Bought one!

  • -6

    Any ivermectim?

    • +8

      Ivermectin *

      • -8

All that matters is that you knew what I meant!

  • +1

    Thank you

  • +1

Do you have a view on the efficacy of phenylephrine based cold and flu formulations available at the moment compared with the old pseudoephedrine formulations?

My personal experience has been that they are ineffective but that doesn't really talk to the relative doses and expected effects of the differing active ingredients.

    Keep up the great work

    Thanks for posting your deals.
As long as the family has allergies we will continue to buy when the prices are OzBargain standard!

  • Any deals on eye drops? Especially that bigger kind, can't remember the brand/name, but it's available behind the counter without prescription.

    • +1

      Clear Eyes by Murine?

I'd also be interested in any specials or sales!

    • +2

I think ur talking about the beefy bottle of HyloForte or HyloFresh

  • +1

    Thanks Jason!

  • +1

    Cheers mate!

  • +1

Have purchased from you before and thought the service was fine, so thank you for that. Some of the comments in your post are clearly from jerks.

Just wondering if you ever have or get in a generic Desloratadine?
    Thanks!

  • +1

Thanks Op, when I try code for last weeks deal it says “ TENOFF discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart”.

    Can you please help?

    • +2

Pls try again, just checked seems to be working. Please make sure the code applies to the item in your cart, ie different items noted above have different codes.

  • Noob question but I always thought that Zyrtec, Claratyne, Telfast were "all the same" according to the people at the pharmacy.

So are there minute differences between them so one can phrase the generic version of each?

    • +2

Very different items (differing active ingredient), that works differently for different people.

  • Thanks so much just placed my order for Dr Reddy's - Hayfexo

  • Found 2 3 more boxes of Fexo to enable bundle to be filled - restocked

  • -3

    Bulk medicine bundle.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a bit weird?

Hay fever medicine, gastro, pain killers, anti inflammatory, antihistamine, cold and flu tablets… I’d be concerned about any household needing all of these.

"Give her this, and this, and then these…"

    • +3

Bundles deals are extremely popular for larger families and many businesses seem to buy them. Some repeat users of hayfever relief medications like to alternate between molecule types. Individual purchase price of the items in the bundle would most likely be $70-90 at regular pharmacies so there is value to be had even if not all items are used (or are given away to friends, family, colleagues etc)

      • I'm not questioning the value, I wouldn't have a clue on pricing as I don't buy any of these things except for the odd Panadol.

I don't know any households / families that would use 10% of this medicine before the expiry dates.

shrugs… I guess there is demand based on all the up-votes & comments.

    • +1

to fix unwanted exudations from either end - whatever ails ya …

  • fexo is the only one that works for me - for decades I took pseudoephedrine for my hayfever/runny nose thinking that would help, until I only recently read it wouldn't work - so now one fexo the morning if/when I feel any itchiness in the nose/throat and I'm good for the day

zyrtec and Lorastyne/Claratyne do nothing for me so I won't be buying those

I loaded up on fexo on a previous deal thank you very much ;-)
