The upgrades on this are easily worth the $100 over the Tab P11 imo.

    • noting that the $256 P11 noted by OP was the 6GB/128GB version and should suffice easily for school student use etc.

    I see OLED I upvote

    • No fear of burn in?

      • +2

No lol. I've never experienced burn in on any of my devices.

My first OLED device was a Galaxy J7 end of 2017 when I graduated high school, went up to a Galaxy A50, and now on an S21 going for more than a year. I have all three devices still and none of them have any burn in.

I think newer OLEDs are at the point that burn-in is a near non-existent issue.

        • I had a Huawei Mate 20 X and it had burn in on its OLED display, released 2018.

      • Don't quote me on it, but Samsung said something about constantly refreshing pixels to prevent burn in as a built in feature nowadays.

  • If only I didnt have ipad air already i would have bought this OP. Good post.

  • How good are these OLED tablets? Anyone owns this?

    • +1

got one from a previous deal posted by Clear.
      Very good tablet and display.

  • 120Hz display?

  • Any one getting it for ~A$358.55? It is saying AU$372.34 at checkout with code for me.

    • Change currency to $USD and it will show up as $259.90, which is ~$AUD362 if you use credit card with fee-free currency conversion

  • I am getting a message "all coupons have been claimed"

    • Party's over folks

  • The popular Lenovo Xiaoxin Pado Pro 2021 / P11 Pro 2021 is the successor to the Lenovo Tab Pro P11 with enhancements.

    • Looks like a good bit of gear.

    • Damn, now I've seen that I can't buy this one. Think we need a deal on the 2021 edition.

      • Deal is right here - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003753513599.html
Use same coupon 4planets25 in tandem with store coupons on the app as well as Shopback cashback should bring it down to around US $320 or so

Notice: This model is Chinese Version, which install Global Firmware Support Multi-language

That's concerning when there's no official Global ROM. Means you'll get an unlocked bootloader and lose the Widevine/OTA.

  • Pretty surprised how small of a performance improvement the 730g has over the SD 660 in 4 years.

  • "This tablet has Widevine L1 for Prime/Netflix HD, but you'll need to set your tablet region to Australia to install the latest version from Google Play - instructions here(forum.xda-developers.com)."

I purchased this tablet from Banggood last year and it does not have a global rom for widevine l1… Can I follow these steps to get it on my tablet too?

    • Try and see. I don't know for certain.

  • Seems nice, how many years of software updates will this get?

    • no need updates if you mine on this.

      • Can it mine dogecoin?

        • more like dodgycoin

          • @[Deactivated]: Maybe he should come up with his own coin called Muskoin.

            • @John Doh: just spent odd $41bn on twitter…maybe tweetcoin soon?

i know it's a bit of a stretch, but how does this function with a USB C dock?
my dock has 2 monitors, a keyboard, mouse and speakers connected to it. Would this be able to utilize all of these?

    • would also like to know

  • I think all OD25 coupons have been claimed.

  • Looking for a tablet with A12 out of the box to replace the old Nexus 7 2013, these are great but I'm looking for smaller (<10").

    • Nothing really good besides something like this exists under 10" and Android 12 out of the box is unlikely unless you're going for a more high end Samsung.

      • Just want something with long community support, the Nexus has an unofficial A12L ROM as an example.

Was considering only Xiaomi or Lenovo like this one, Samsung is bit too expensive.

I may even consider a phone, it's mainly a chromecast streaming/mirroring device and it needs a big battery obviously.

  • Personally I'd pay more for this https://www.giztop.com/lenovo-xiaoxin-pad-pro-2021.html

    Wait a minute… I did. Faster CPU

    Gorgeous screen.

Only downside was my first one developed a problem and the return to China was about $200…..

    • Did you get the CN ROM or the unofficial Global ROM?

      • Who cares, you dont want to depend on what the seller gives you (loaded with potential spyware). What ROM a tablet has shouldn't cost be an additional $0.01

        • You're always so angry.

  • @renegade - I got mine on sale last year
@clear - cn, but easy to tidy up with Nova launcher and the play store apk

    • Good you chose the right one. Since there's no official Global ROM you're going to get a butchered ROM with no Widevine.

  • Every time this is posted this is flagged as L1 every time… but as far as I can see neither Netflix or Prime play above 540p

Whilst DRM Info shows L1 - it definitely doesn't currently work (plays as SD).

      • thanks Clear, I see, weirdly mine is set up as ES. Will give this a try later, is there an easy way to backup/restore so I don't lose anything?

      • hey Clear, I just tried it - as the child commenter posted, it still plays as L3

  • I have been looking on Aliexpress and I can't find the official stylus/touch pen for this thing - can someone provide a link to it? Some sellers are claiming official Lenovo, but I don't trust them.

  • I haven't bought from Aliexpress for a while. Does it actually get charged in AUD or another currency?

    • +4

You can pay AUD and get ripped off with an inflated exchange rate if that's what you want, plus a potential international fee depending on your card. For me I have a CC without currency conversion fees added to PayPal. I set AliExpress to USD and when selecting the card in PayPal at payment I set the currency to bill in USD.

That way I get the current exchange rate.

      • Great thanks will setup my 28 degrees with Paypal then :)

  • It seems like the P11 Pro has been stripped of its HD playback status because of a downgrade of Widevine L1 to L3. Source: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Android-based-Tablets-an…

Blackview seems to support L1 but the likes of Netflix have not whitelisted the device. This whole business of HD playback in tablets seems strange. Why can an Android smart phone with the similar or lower specs support HD playback but not tablets? One would assume people want to consume richer video content on a larger screen (it's one of the primary reasons for my decision to purchase a tablet) and so, these devices should have more support.

    • From the post, I am hopeful that there will be a fix for this behaviour.

Last update on 05/05 was that there is a fix in the works with no ETA yet

      • It's often the case for a lot of these vendors, who because of a software upgrade, trigger an L1 to L3 downgrade and shoot themselves in the foot. The fixes, however, seem to take a while though, much to the frustration of consumers.

  • +1

Thanks Clear. Received mine today and have followed the instructions to set the country code as AU

    • Arrived today - and thanks for the country code reminder :). Android 11 and Google Play Services needed updating.

  • Mine came with Android 11 (TB-J706F_S620150_211226_ROW) already installed, though it wanted an update (TB-J706F_S630229_220312_ROW) after starting up.
