        well of course it is for typing and the mouse is used for moving a mouse pointer..
        you are stating the obvious..

        but how often do you need to type on a console?
        most people are gaming on it with a game controller..

        So are people using it to surf the web on the console or something or for text chatting while in game (which is not really needed since people are using headset / microphones nowadays) to chat?

          @pinkybrain: I thought your question was also stating the obvious.

          Some games only use text chat (e.g Among Us), or maybe they frequently message through console messaging without using a mic.

          It's also possible he wants to game using keyboard and mouse instead of controller, since they tend to be more accurate for games like FPS.

            majority people who buy a console only use the included game controller and will never get extra keyboard and mouse..

              @pinkybrain: i always use a keyboard, and i know a lot of people that use a keyboard. seems like you are really out of touch with modern technology. we have jumped leap and bounds since the last time you used an Atari.

      Quit chat messages. Yes I can use my phone for chats between friends but for games like halo infinite, this will be useful for the in game chat screen.
