Wasn't something similar to this without Alexa $45 on the weekend?

    • +1

$39 i think and thats why it ran out in like 2 mins.

This is a 1.1m height (half metres) version, the material is Iron and supports Alexa.

      • +9

        1.1m height (half metres)

        What?

      • 1.1m is too short for corner light, others are mostly 1.4m 1.5m

      • -3

Not sure why it turned out that way. I meant others are half metres version. Our one is 1.1m height, the material is iron and supports Alexa.

    • What about it?

  • hardly seems like a bargain in light of the two previous deals

  • Kmart ones were $49 each

    • Kmart weren't nationwide and limited stock. Still this deal is certainly more expensive than it should be.

  • +1

Is there a surplus of these or something, there seems to be so many deals lately for these type of lamps

    • Wow this is the first one I've noticed and ngl, looks cool AF. Better keep my eyes peeled

    • Prob coz old mate here is trying to jump on the bandwagon.

This is a 1.1m height (half metres) version, the material is Iron and supports Alexa. Huge cost difference to the half metre version using Aluminium / Plastic materials.

This is a 1.1m height (half metres)

      Come again???

      • Have a look at the carton size, it'll make more sense:

        Carton size:1451010cm;(140CM)
        1351010CM;(110CM)

        • Is that half carton size though or full?

          • +1

@WatchNerd: Half metres is the carton size in full metres, but half carton size is measured in 50CM increments. It's all very scientific

    • -2

Just to be absolutely clear - our one is 1.1metres height, the material is Iron and supports Alexa.

Many out there on the market is half metres with plastic material.

      • +3

If your intention is to be absolutely clear why do you have 110/140cm listed everywhere?

  • +2

Lots of similar stuff on ali express for 45-55 delivered. Not a deal really

  • +4

It should go without saying (but also noted for those interested in buying this) that you'll never achieve this look if it's this close to the wall. The images are heavily photoshopped. Also, do some research on eBay first - plenty of almost identical products on there for half the price.

I do like the white frame, but I'd much rather get something built and run a Philips Hue Lightstrip down it to tie it into my Hue ecosystem.

    • +1

I’d rather a linear pendant instead for a cool conversation starter. You are absolutely correct about this look being photoshopped.

    • I wouldn't say it's photoshopped at all, but that would be taken without any other lights at night, with a good quality camera.

      • +2

It's absolutely photoshopped. A lightstrip a couple of cms to the wall will not provide that much reflection across the nearby walls. This is just another one of those cheap Chinese lightstrips don't forget. Even a DLSR won't give you the same level of light or colour depth on a wall when it's that close. You might get it from a Hue lightstrip, but it's unlikely.

Amazon has plenty of user submitted reviews (with photos) for the very same style of minimalist light and they aren't even remotely the same as the OPs photo.

        • Any real life picture for comparison?
Cant seem to find it proper one on google

  • +3

I am still struggling to chew the information “1.1m height (half meters).
I need to make coffee and sit this one.

    • You might need something stronger than coffee.

Chinese meters must be similar to Chinese lumens and mAH in other words, a measure that seems to change every time you flippin look at it.

      • I see. Like the number of COVID cases in China?

        • +1

EXACTLY. But the COVID numbers in China always changing because any new surges are cancelled out by the people mysteriously suiciding by shooting them selves in back of head, twice.

  • +1

Wow 1 review and it happens to be 5 star and absolutely gushing about the product - wouldn’t want to make it seem toooooo suss right???

Plenty of other almost identical products available for cheaper - not to mention dubious write up and rep comments. Better hope buyers don’t have warranty issues.

    plastic frame

Which one had the plastic frame, op??

    This ain’t a bargain.

    • This is a 1.1m height (half metres) version, the material is Iron and supports Alexa

I mean come on Jimothy, it doesn't get any clearer than that

      • +1

Is it half metre or 1.1?

        Rep: yes

ACCC and false advertising suits hates this one simple trick.

  • +1

    Cheaper in multiple other places.

    Also…. Buh?
