      Is that the same projector?

Yes, spend a bit of time if you're interested in buying one and do a Google search.

possible, but Mi, Fengmi and Wemax are all sourced from the same technology company/manufacturer, Mi invested all of them, with very minor different tuning and firmware, and created those different models. May requires some closer look and compare and tell.
got a Fengmi 4k cinema with a 100" Fresnel optical screen ~ 2 years ago, so far happy with it. this look like some next gen product with some tuning here and there.

a further 5 mins search found here: it looks like a 2-year old model from late 2019 early 2020

Yeah, do you think it's a version of the Cinema Pro or something else? It looks identical. They said it's native 4K and doesn't use pixel shifting but I'm not sure about that. Also, the settings seem very slight. You can adjust brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, sharpness, color temp and digital noise reduction and that's about it, no RGB, no gamma. Was that the same as the Pro? Also, no 3D as you mentioned and no MEMC. Did the Pro have that? I read somewhere that you could access MEMC on the Pro by holding the menu button for a few seconds. I like the sound of this projector and the security of having the tech support based in the USA. I'm just a little worried they're rebadging one of the older models like the standard Fengmi Cinema 4K for the US market.
        Curious to get your thoughts.

    • Better how? The one you linked is not even the same model…

      • -6

        Different branding, same model.

        • +1

They don't even look the same. Have you actually done a comparison or got any links?

    • But you are comparing oranges with apples. They are very different models.

    • neg just because it is too expensive?
      lmao

      • These are imported from china. Check on Taobao and JD then you judge if it is cheap or expansive

      • +4

Phzon wants a smaller unit as these are too expansive

      • +2

No, he's begging because it's expansive not expensive get it right bro

        • +1

          my bad. lol

    • +2

Please show me this 3k Epson UST

  • +1

FYI it's CNY9999 on jd.com, which is A$2130. AU tax should not be $569.

    • +1

10% GST, 5% shipping (estimate) and then a profit margin for the company to exist and pay it's staff here in Australia, provide warranty support, marketing etc.

      The thieves!

      • Ok Gerry

    • You are looking at the Chinese model, not the global version

  • +3

“NOTE: Netflix supported but requires Fire TV stick or similar streaming device.“

So PS5 games supported but requires a PS5…..

    • +3

Haha, yeah that is silly marketing lines
Well, cut it short, no, wemax nova doesn't have Netflix certificate therefore can't run Netflix.

  • To risky with no local support and warranty claims will be a pita

    • +2

As mentioned, we have AU warranty, so warranty will be carried out in AU.

  • Is this a 4k 3d projector? If so, is it active or passive 3d? And does it come with the glasses? Thanks

    • There's 3D 4K content?

    • +1

No, that is not a 3d model

  • +2

    What's the latency like?

  • Thanks OP. Can you throw in a non-reflective screen, or do a bundle deal? I think a lot of people thinking about moving to UST projectors only have a TV and would have to buy a screen with it anyway, especially if they’re spending a few thousand on it.

    • +1

Thanks mate, we only have high quality brand like XY screen which is relatively expensive. If you are interested in a screen you can also look into brands like telon or even Fengmi. They get much cheaper alternatives.
Of course we provide bundle offer with discount like mentioned above.

      • Cool, will have a look cheers
