EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA Graphics Card $2039 Delivered ($0 VIC/NSW C&C) @ Scorptec

140

Nice discount on a top tier card from a rock-solid brand, a couple hundred off the last listed price, not quite as good value as a 3080 but diminishing returns are expected.

  • To hold,or not to hold, that is the question

    • +8

yea mate hold out until the 4000 series comes out, unless you need one today

      • +3

Real men hold until 5000 series.

        • +1

Real woman wouldhold until 10000 series😂

    • $300 more than the MSI from the Afterpay sale.

    10-12% performance jump for $800 more over a 3080?

    • how about compare to 3090 or 3090ti

      • +1

Significantly more VRAM with 3090, can be important for some productivity tasks. Scorptec was selling 3090 of the same series for $2650.

  • +2

I think you would be silly to pay $800 premium over a 3080

    • +6

agree, 3080 is the better value pick

    • If they'd given it 16gb of ram, there may have been an ML/cuda justification, but as it is, it's really an impossible sell - now that stock of other GPUs are widely available.

    • 3080 was selling near $2000 2 months ago. 3080 price drop was ruthless, not soo much with the Tie and 3090 above variants.

    • Waiting for this to come back

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/690828

      • As are many others mate

  • Was waiting for 3080Ti FTW3 - didn't realise they'd be still > $2k. Will ponder.

I’m super tempted, if the 3090 didn’t exist this this the best GPU you can get, right?

    • +1

I think the RX 6900 XT beats it in raw power but lacks DLSS and Raytracing so the 3080 Ti is arguably better
There also exists the 3090 Ti if you just like to burn money

  • Yeah it's gonna be a no for me dawg. Unless you got money you're struggling to rid, it's just better to go for a 3080. Performance just don't justify the price jump on this one.

  • +1

can anyone enlighten me on the 308010gb v 12gb argument - is it worth the extra 400/500$

    • +3

no, absolutely not, pure cash grab that

  • Still not worth.

  • This beast can hit 100mh/s with the right tune. just like the non-LHR 3080 2 years ago, but much more power hungry.

    • Yeah, I ended grabbing one with hope they'll reduce in price over the next year for Shopper Protection insurance. Game developer first, but always put cards to good use.

  • Still rocking a evga 1080ti watercooled and does everything i need keep getting tempted by these 2080ti 3080ti

Thinking when the 4000 series drops it might finally be time to invest in a new rig what you guys reckon hold off or grab a 3080ti?

  • So far from 1k

  • Would anyone pull the trigger for 1800 on this?

    • where can it be had for $1800?

      • FTW Ultra on Facebook marketplace brand new sealed. I got the Suprim X 3080 Ti on marketplace 1850 sealed with invoice. Seller sold at a loss bought them to resell $2155 in March.

        • ouch, poor reseller

          • +1

@Lionheart: Stores sell at a loss all the time you just don't know their prices. This is business not a charity unfortunately.

  • terrible price.
