Good price but you would need your head read to pay the RRP - I bet Daiso has something similar fora few dollars

I don't think I would buy this but saw it on the camels and thought some may be interested. Our drawer is pretty messy but we have a lot of stuff and I don't think this would help us. I think this may be more for people who have got their setup whittled down to a few nicer items and it would make them look a bit nicer.

    • I'd buy it at the RRP.

My wife replaced our standard bunnings one and at first I thought it was stupid we've already got a cutlery holder and I've used the layout after like 20 years then I realised you get more storage for batteries/lights etc lol.

Even my kids know where each one go lol.

Some of these organiser thingies are designed to be used only for people who are already organised…

In this case, I like how the layers overlap, that's a clever space saver…..BUT, I know for a fact that certain members of my household would just stick whatever into whichever slot, and I'd go mad with having to randomly pull things out to identify them.

    • There is label markings to represent what should be in there.

      • should be in there. But in a lot of homes I know, no one would bother to do it properly =P

      • +2

let's just say certain members of my household would technically be aware of the labels, but ignore or forget about them unless reminded.

Yeah, I reckon in the right hands/home this would make things look really nice. We just have too much cutlery as well as stuff like chopsticks that I don't think would really work well in it.

This might be better Joseph Joseph DrawerStore Expanding Cutlery, Utensil & Gadgets Organiser - Grey https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08QH2RRDY

        • I have seen that one and an Oxo one like it. Our drawers are the standard small narrow ones. I don't think they would be expanded much at all. Maybe one day if we have a different kitchen setup I'll take another look.

    • Put them in handle first?

      • No thanks. That would mean handling every item by its food-contact surfaces, twice - once when putting in the draw and again when pulling out for use.

Maybe I'm picky but that's a big no-no for me.

  • is this now OOS?

    • Looks that way. I don't know if they just don't have much stock or if people are brodening them to sell at a markup. A lot of these J & J deals don't last long.

    large compact

    • Haha, I did notice that.

  • I've had these and they work really well. However they are very long and don't fit in most regular kitchen drawers.

I have had a look at some of these sorts of organisers and yes, they either don't fit at all, or don't expand much, rendering the product kinda worthless. More for people who have luxurious kitchens. Maybe that's why the RRP is so high. $50 isn't very much if your kitchen was $50,000+

      • +1

if your kitchen is $50k, you've got custom-fit drawer organisers in there already

        • That is true, but you can change things up maybe. People who have lots of money think differently is my point though.

What is the approximate max number of spoons that can fit in the compartments?
