        Give it a rest.

      • Three months trial is better than nothing…

    • +3

Relax dude lol it's an obvious error. They don't have the honour.

      • -1

Lol I'm just salty about wasting 1 hour hahaha

        • +12

Such as the game of Ozbargain, sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. Can't be salty for trying.

          • +1

@Zabuza: I won those awful dinosaur bars. The only thing ever being honored for me here. I still think it was intentional and a clever marketing trick.

        • Just be happy Rupert didn’t get your money either way 😎

      • +1

Unfortunately, some think its their right to be entitled to a product resulting from an inadvertent error on behalf of a retailer… They forget there are T&C to consider.

    • +1

      💨 💨
I farted in your general direction

  • Worked up to “This mobile number is already connected to a Streamotion account.Sign In using your existing Flash, Binge or Kayo Sports email address or click Update Mobile.”

  • -5

    Didn't work

I will start by watching this low quality documentary on wsb:

"Exploring the historic 2021 short squeeze of GameStop and how a group of armchair investors and online vigilantes helped expose the dark underbelly of Wall Street.
    "

  • +4

Is that farker Uncle Rupert going to honour this deal?

  • I got Binge, now streaming flight attendant. Hope can still get this for a year.
    But cannot get Kayo.

  • +5

Looks like they're walking back the Kayo deal, would expect the same for the binge one soon!

    • +4

Wouldn't expect any less from the turd that is murdoch

  • +2

Missed it by that much! Who am I kidding, I'll probably not use it and forget to cancel 😂

    • +1

It’s probably getting revoked anyway. In the Kayo deal people report getting emails and cancellations.

      • Not too annoyed because I'm not a huge sports fanatic, might've given the account to my family who have their teams more and then completely forgot I was being charged for it after a year lol

  • +8

Glad I only entered the promo code and didn't enter a credit card as the free offer was removed. Guess they will sell the phone number and email address to spammers and make a profit out of all of us.

    • -2

Do you honestly think they would do that? Would be a PR disaster if any Australian company was caught doing that. Gosh some people here are so cynical to think this was an intentional effort to collect user details to sell.

      • +5

Do you honestly think they would do that?

wake up, they all share with “partners”.

      • -1

        Not cynical, just dumb.
And they were presumably ok with it in return for 12mths of some subscription

        • +1

presumably ok with it in return for 12mths of some subscription

that’s how quid quo pro works.

      • Do you honestly think they don't do that?
Somebody offers them payment to go into 'partnership' of data, all of a sudden they are now able to share any and all data provided to them by you, to their partners unless you expressly said otherwise.

  • -4

And all those that negged my negged vote are red faced now

  • +1

    midnight

    • +1

Guess I should stop trying now, huh

      • Man you are like one of those guys falling asleep on the party and waking up when it’s all over!

        • Lol, i was joking

          • @rye: Ok no worries. Wife watches happily binge for free now… well at least tonight…

    • +1

      1 past midnight

It was me who broke mobile verification, sorry. Entering 0444666666 everywhere is a habit hard to drop.

    • +1

Bugger where do you have my number from?

    • Why not 0444444444? Does it come back invalid because it's the emergency alert system number?

  • +1

Binge got revoked on my account. says I am unsubscribed in "my account" but I can watch stuff

    • Lucky you.

Good one for those that got whatever they could.

Bad luck for those that's being bitter.

This went wild quicker than the Galaxy A8 tab deal.

      • The free accounts are being cancelled. They just cancelled my Kayo (reverted to no access to premium).
Let’s see if it happens to binge

        • It’s probably because of all the morons contacting support about the code as well: I’ve had 12 month codes in the past be never revoked

  • Got Binge but no others

  • -5

Binge is better then Netflix & Prime video imo!!

    • +4

Lmao enjoy ads with your Sub par not even hd let alone 4k LOL… streams

      • Well, I do find myself watching binge a lot more! Tlc dr pimple popper!

Not really fused on the quality lol, grew up with vhs and analogue tv 🫣, as long as it's not a TS quality vid all good, I'm still on 1080p torrents lol.

Way better movies & tv shows on binge imo.. Godfather, The Wire, even had godfather Coda (which isn't that good).

        but you do you!

        • Fair enough each to there own. I have seen all the tv shows or movies and if the're not on, netflix, stan, Disney, prime I'll just download it.

I don't want to give any money to Rupert Murdoch.

The wire, oz, deadwood, true blood, Chernobyl Game of thrones all 4k hd on pirate Bay..

          • @XxAiDsTaRxX: Yeah i feel ya, I'm not paying for it (shared account), I'll generally tpb everything anyways (plex is the best) if there's a non TS 1080p while its still in cinemas etc

More like when I cant find something to watch, Binge seems to have something old-school

      • ads? there are no ads on Binge whatsoever.
        Dude.

        • +1

Sorry got confused with foxtel. Either way

    • You deserve every neg you're getting right now lol
But then again this your opinion only.

      • Haha! You guys are probably right, I'm forgetting all the stuff I've watched.

I think I've just watched all there is to watch on Netflix! Forgetting the awesomes e.g. all the kdramas etc, demon Slayer etc

Though I really like how Binge has included an imdb rating on the view. Netflix should implement this, and they all should create an imdb filter in their search!

  • -4

    I missed it 😢.
Is there any other code for 1 year free sub???

  • they cancelled my subscription for binge, emailed me saying my kayo payment had been declined, even though i only signed up for binge. a great way to turn people off your product, now i won't even consider it because of this. i would have continued the sub if it had been worth it, but judging from this, it isn't.

back to the high seas, i suppose.

    • +1

Same here. Said my Kayo payment was declined except a) its a free trial, what am I paying for and b) it never asked me to enter credit card details.

    • +1

I had almost 3 year free membership through Telstra offers, I asked them to cancel Kayo and they cancelled it all. They refused to bring it back and ignored my emails going forward. Worst company I have dealt with.

    • +2

If you want to see if it's worth it then use their 3 month or 14 day trials. You don't need 12 months to decide if you want to be a continuous subscriber.

      • -4

i'm not interested in their product after the way they handled this.

        1. i don't want to give money to companies that operate this way

        2. if this is the way they operate, they probably don't have much to offer. i did have a quick look at their catalogue and i saw gogglebox, but i wasn't going to complain, until this happened.

        • Mate I'm sure they're not even the slightest bit of upset to lose a customer like you. They don't owe you anything and they handled it quite fine. A mistake was made in offering a paid service for free which should have never been free to begin with and then happened to resolve the issue they caused by revoking the service which you paid $0 for. I'm not sure what you were expecting?

          • @thousandsuns: haha, after hinting they pirate it's pretty obvious they were never going to subscribe anyway beyond a free trial.

            • @MBix: what an asinine comment. plenty of people who pirate switch to the convenience of a streaming service, if the service is worth it, it's just that these days, more often than not it it somehow ends up being more expensive than foxtel because everyone and their mother wants to start their own streaming service. the only reason streaming services are so popular is because people were trying to move away from cable TV and streaming was cheaper.

i would never have thought of binge, in fact i'd never heard of it before today, but there is no chance i will be subscribing to anything this company offers in the future.

              • @[Deactivated]: Ah so the very slim chance you were going to sign up to a subscription service you never heard of one day becomes no chance after you didn't get a year free to their service with a code that undoubtedly wasn't meant to go out to the masses.

You commented below you expected them to honour their offer…what offer exactly? Has anyone actually posted who the code was meant for or the details of the offer itself? Genuine question.

                • -2

@MBix: the code was an offer for a free year of subscription. code = offer

obviously i can't sign up to a service i've never heard of, if i had been able to use the service and found it worth 18 dollars a month, i would have signed up for a subscription when the free period ended.

i wonder who it was designed for then? either way, the way they handled it was poor.

                  • @[Deactivated]: As much as I want a free service too, I respectfully disagree. If they advertised the code then I would be more aligned with you, but as far as I know, the code was not advertised anywhere on the website so I don't think that constitutes an "offer" in the contract law sense (or even reasonable person test). Not saying they could not have handled it better (because clearly they could have) but I wouldn't go so far as expecting them to honour it in full. Maybe an extended trial (and an email) might've been a better remedy.

                    • @jace88: it was an offer, they may not have advertised it, but it was an offer for 12 months free.

if it was designed for a select group of people, they should have tied it directly to email addresses and sign ups, not create a code that anyone can use.

i agree, an email with an apology would have been sufficient, but they just cancelled it without any kind of explanation. there also appears to be no way to delete my account or information from their system. it leaves a sour taste in the mouth, but then again, it's foxtel.

                      • @[Deactivated]: Just because they didn't implement additional controls to prevent anyone using the code to sign up, doesn't change that it was intended for only a certain group of individuals who received the actual offer and there probably would've been T&Cs in the email/advertisement to the targeted group which would've spelled out certain conditions to using the code anyway. If they had charged even a small amount though (even a peppercorn) then this could potentially be a different argument, but as much as I really want to compel them to honour the agreement, realistically there was no intention to be bound by this to anyone other than those who received the "offer" from Binge/Kayo/etc or their agent (ie. not OzBargain).

          • -4

@thousandsuns: that's their problem, not mine.

they owe me and everyone who accessed this deal a free subscription, their mistake was assuming that it wouldn't be as popular as it was, they should have owned it, but they just quietly changed their minds and revoked them without explanation.

never should have been free to begin with? "WATCHBINGEF1" is a bit hard to make accidentally.

i was expecting them to honour their offer, but i suppose if they can attract apologists for people like murdoch, there is really no need to run a scrupulous business.

  • Anyone going to try and message support to see if they'll honour it? Lemme know how you go if so.

    • Funny haha

    • And you wonder why it got blacklisted so quickly in the first place

  • Poorly handled error, I can't be bothered with their trial

  • Both my Binge & Kayo got revoked, with no email notification. Oh well …

  • Emailed and says cancelled

  • +1

Got an email for Binge and Flash being canceled but Kayo is still working….for now.

  • Haha here come all the butthurts

  • Is it over? Shucks. Missed out again.

    • Done and dusted….both in redeeming and actually keeping the sub for a lot of people.

  • +1

Binge is no longer working for me, and asks me to choose a subscription tier. However Kayo is still working for now

  • +8

You can get your private information removed/account deleted by emailing
    [email protected]
Specifically important for those who fed in their credit card information for a service which they cannot use.

    • However please note that your email address and mobile number will be blocked from any Streamotion products going forward.

  • Party over. No email but both kayo and binge access revoked. Someone was busy working overnight

  • +1

Yep, if i log in now i'm just at the sign-up screen again. It's all over folks, lets move it to the forums.

  • +1

I can also confirm that I successfully signed up last night, and was able to stream, but this morning I can see that my account has been cancelled. I was already logged into the app and so streaming a new show failed.

When I first close the app and reopened it, I was at the sign in screen again. Login with my existing account resulted in an offer to purchase/signup to one of their plans.

  • Missed this started and finished too quick. Seems these companies are going to go under very soon.

  • +1

Both Kayo and Binge got revoked for me. No email to apologise or anything. I don’t hold it against them for not honouring this but pretty poor form to not even send an email and just cancel the account without a word. Not giving Murdoch a single cent so won’t be signing up.

NAS + Sonarr/Radarr + Plex is better than any streaming service anyway. Especially Binge which only offer HD and I’m pretty sure still speed up all 24fps content to 25fps in 2022!

    • +7

Murdoch must call to apologise. Nothing less.

  • Like others have said, I managed to get through on an old deactivated account and stream last night.

This morning that account was signed out and upon logging in it's making me select a paid package.

  • +1

Felt bad for those who kept on refreshing the page and either got in or failed…myself included. 60 minutes wasted.

  • +1

Kayo and Binge still working for me, 12month deal still listed under account.
Flash isn’t working. No loss with that one.

  • +10

I got negged in the kayo post for calling out the cancellation. What do people seriously expect? It was a glitch. If they honoured it, they'd have lost hundreds and thousands of dollars because they get nothing out of it. I myself like everyone else gave it a go then failed then went to sleep. You can't expect to win everytime. So I'm confused as to why some people here are complaining and being so salty. If you want the service so badly then pay for it like everyone else. Otherwise just move on as that's life. Sometimes these types of deals are always too good to be true, especially the free ones. I'm happy I managed to get my discounted paramount plus awhile back but it was still something I paid for and did not get it for free.

    • +2

I don’t think it was a glitch, it was a corporate code specific to a small group of people that was not meant to be shared across the whole web.

      • +2

The code would not have been so generic then.

        • +9

          I think you’re overestimating people.
