Xiaomi Mi Portable Air Pump 1S US$35.29 (~A$50.19) Delivered @ Mijia MI Online Store AliExpress

DIM

On sale for the lowest price ever is the popular Xiaomi Portable Air Pump 1S. This is the new version which has USB-C charging, a flow rate of 15L/pm compared to 7L/pm of the original and an inbuilt light.

I use this to check my electric scooter tyre pressure every week and it's able to fill them up to the correct PSI level in seconds. It's even powerful enough to inflate your car tyres, so I always keep it in my car just in case.

  • On checkout I get $51:36

    • Oh no !!!!!!

(Did you try paying in USD ?)

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate

I converted the USD price with the currency calculator.

Basically if you set AliExpress to AUD or let PayPal do the conversion the rate is going to be inflated. If you have a card without currency conversion fees, add that to PayPal and at checkout in PayPal you can click on "See currency options" and choose to bill in USD. That way you'll get close or better than the exchange rate.

            • @seamonkey: There's a small unofficial OzBargain meetup this week. I'm sure there will be some scooter shenanigans involved.

Was it really $50.19 delivered including VAT/GST? I bought it when the Voucher has expired already and it came to nearly $59 including VAT/GST

You think I'd lie? Of course it was US$35.29. How were you achieving your AU$ price? Setting your currency to AUD on the website? That'll get you ripped off.

      • I didn't say you lied. I asked because when I bought, the voucher has expired, but I think about $59 AUD was still good so I paid anyway. When I paid, I changed to pay in USD but before that when it was showing in AUD, it was almost $59AUD including VAT.

Can't really comment if you're basing it around the website's AU price because that fluctuates and the US price does not.

  • Can anyone comment on how effective this is for keeping motorcycle tyres pumped up? Just the 1-2 psi you need to add every couple weeks to keep them right

    • +1

Wouldn't be a problem. Only when going from flat it'll take a couple of minutes.

  • Does this work with SUP?

    • +1

      What's SUP doc?

    • +1

Yep. Might need an adapter depending on what it uses.

Having pumped up a SUP last weekend (twice, #valveRTFM), I can say that this definitely wont do it. Doesn't have the air volume to fill a SUP to that sort of pressure.
