  • Sorry, not sure how to get the Belong referral codes to show up here, referral code links are available here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/belong.com.au

    • Belong is STRICTLY a BUDGET - NO FRILLS mobile service.
However Belong has now moved right away from thier popoular budget plans.
Their most popular $10/mth 1GB plan is long gone
Cheapest plan now is $25/mth for 20GB
(Or $15/mth for 3GB if you were on the $10 /1GB plan)
      And NO MESSAGE bank!
      And NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!
This is why I gave this a MINUS
RIP Belong. Time to move on.

The best value budget plan if you want to stay on the wonderful Telstra network is now with Woolworths…..
Only $65 for 180 days and 15GB data
Thats works out to $10.83 and 2.5GB data every 30 days
Thats obviously much better value than Belong for a budget plan!
And they use exactly the same Telstra mobile network
PLUS 10% OFF your Woolworths shopping bill once a month
So the accumulated (10% discount) savings over 6 months just about pays for the plan!
You only have to spend $108 in a single shop each month to cover the cost of the plan!
So for people that spend over $108 once a month at Woolworths this plan can work out to be ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!!!!!!!
      PLUS Unused data rollover
PLUS Gift data to other Woollies mobile customers (Great for families)
PLUS you can call Woolworths Customer care if you have a problem,

So like I said (As a Belong customer) - BYE BYE BELONG!

Cheapest plan now is $25/mth for 20GB

The $15 is available to new customers after the 1st month.

        And NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

You can message them via your account, easiest way is to put the App on your phone. They respond within 24hrs.

These sim starter packs when on special are perfect for sim slutting. It will give you 2 months - 23GB ($20 referral). 1st month on $25 plan, 2nd month $15.

$2.50 per month for 2 months sounds like a bargain to me.

  • +2

    No esim support 😔

  • offer is good and good ideas on how to get max value out of this but I will have to pass this offer as they don't offer wi-fi calling and network coverage is not good in my area.

  • thanks got 1.

  • Thanks OP. Got one.

  • I have great coverage with belong, just be aware, there is no message bank, and voice to text is average, and only 10 seconds long for the caller.

    • +3

You can send them a message through your account & ask for the ring time to be extended.
I asked them to turn of voice to txt as well.

This starter pack will give you 2 months, 23GB with the $20 referral credit added on.
1st month on $25 plan, 2nd month $15 (more info here).

  • Anyway to use $25 as credit for existing customers?

    • You could activate it in a family or friends name & email then use your referral code to give yourself $20 credit.
Make sure you actually use the new sim in a spare phone so you can't be accused of breaching the "Customer Terms". Gift the data to yourself gradually or towards the end.

  • Could you get the 25GB for $5 for the month from Belong, then switch to Amaysim for the 50GB for $10 deal, i wonder if you could keep doing this with both as you are out of the 30 days when you keep switching.

    • Yes, you can definitely do this - I've been switching between Belong and Kogan for a while now. You'll actually get 2 months with the $5 kit from Belong - you use a referral code when activating, then change to the $15 plan for the second month.

      • Nice, how do you get a referral code? Also, do they ever pull you up on being an existing customer in the past?

        • Nice, how do you get a referral code?

Follow OP's link in their follow-up post.

Also, do they ever pull you up on being an existing customer in the past?

Use a new e-mail address, or neither party will receive a $20 referral credit.

          • @Colin2905: I would be bringing my number over each time, they would probably pick up on that haha

            • @BatmanAU: If you're going to push the envelope, my suggestion would be to do it with a number that you can afford to lose, in case you push it too far, run foul of the T&C's, and Belong cancels the service (and number).

EDIT: In my case, I wouldn't consider using Belong for my main number anyway, until such time as they get VoLTE and VoWiFi.

              • @Colin2905: Yeah true, but definitely need my number, so might just telco jump when I can. Boost is pretty good, but these trying times need to save where people can. Tbh I’ve never really used VoLTE and when I did, was not great quality.

  • I'd avoid Belong, and I was with them for almost 2 years. First, mobile speeds in my area dropped from 50mbit range to under 5mbit, some phone calls began to drop while talking (regional, not city, but it never use to happen), and then they axed the $10 grandfathered plan they had told me I could stay on.

  • Does anyone know if Belong has any issues with receiving text msg verifications when signing up to apps and such?

I remembered somehow having this issue a couple of years ago with Belong.

    • +1

Got two numbers with them for some 3yrs now. I'm not aware of this particular issue.

  • Thanks OP, I grabbed a couple last night. Now to figure out how to get the best use out of them, in conjunction with the 13 other various unactivated SIM cards that I already have, lol.

  • Condition says limit 2 per customer, which I assume is from OW.

Anyone knows if we can activate more than 2 Belong numbers?

    • +1

Have a read of the General customer terms. Mainly the Acceptable use policy.

I would activate the 2nd one in a family or friends name just to be safe.

  • When do the starter packs need to be activated by? Do they have a 1 year expiry?

    • +1

Yes one year from the purchase date.

  • Avoid belong at any cost. No phone number, no live chat, you can only send email and wait until they answer
