  1. Deep Cleaning & Extensive Utilization: This OPOLAR duster tops the market by its capacity to produce a powerful thrust of air at almost 9 levels strong gale for deep cleaning of the microscopic dust of 0.9-1.1oz. Starting from printed circuit boards to electronic instruments, medical devices, and many more such areas can be cleaned by this mini duster which your traditional wiper or duster cannot clean.

  2. Easy Charging & High Reusability: Built-in 6000mAh batteries resulting in nearly 30 minutes of thorough usage. Its compatibility of getting charged via the USB-port makes it perfect for uninterrupted use. The common gas dusters had to be given up on because of its deformed bag after a few uses. Compared to that, this electric duster is highly reusable and is not restricted to charging.

  3. Fast Charging & Speedy Functionality: This air duster is specially designed to get charged faster with a 2A adapter (not included). With a reduced charging time of around 3 hours, its usability can be highly increased. Its motor allows the maximum rotating speed to reach up to 33000 RPM.

  4. Handy Design & Simple Operation: The device is structured with an extended full-palm gripping design and withdrawable nozzle keeping the handhold clear to let users grip it at their comfort.

  5. Eco-Friendly & Energy-Efficient: Saving gas and water has now become our primary responsibility. And to support this cause this device to be made highly environment-friendly as it allows more than 5000 times of use, resulting in saving a lot of energy. This mini duster is such a scientific device which keeps cleanliness hand in hand with eco-friendliness.

This will probably be cheaper, once you add on your GST.

      reviews aren't too pleasant.

        This

    • Might as well over both of those, just buy the more powerful(almost double rpm) 2 in 1 vac/blower listed in similar items on the Amazon page, think $73.09 or something.
      2in1 blower vac

I have one of these and it's great. Cleans computers and gets a fire going. Good times.

    • +2

I haven't had mine for that long, but it's good! Not giant air-compressor levels of pressure, but more than enough for cleaning my computer or the hard-to-reach spots in the car dash. The little brush head is nice, too! Battery life seems good.

      (bought through Amazon)

      • Wondering if any good for cleaning out the charge point of myiphone

        • +1

I just tried with mine as an experiment for you and I have to say no. The air just isn't quite concentrated enough to get in there.

          • @CBrads4: Thanks heaps.
            Appreciated

          • @CBrads4: Yeah, I am with the same opinion. I expected more. I would call this a deal at about $30.

            I definitely wouldn't pay $58

            • @TilacVIP: I'm quite happy with mine, but can definitely understand why people are disappointed - particularly after reading through this thread. I think I paid ~$40 for mine (close to your deal threshold) and would have definitely used more than that in cans of compressed air if I didn't have it. Use it almost daily to get cat hair out of my keyboards.

Agree with you though. Definitely wouldn't buy one at this price, especially with the other alternative products that people are posting.

Died after 6 months. Literally only used it 4 or 5 times. Won't turn on even after charge. Really upset. Plenty of vids on YouTube and comments in forums about this . They won't respond to emails. PayPal protection only lasts 6 months.
Also Opolar are douchebags - didn't refund my fans that were never delivered. No other OzBargainers got them either but they presumably raised PayPal disputes which I didn't until after 6 months as I forgot all about them and only remembered when I tried claiming warranty on this piece of junk blower. The tracking clearly shows the fans were never shipped. No responses to emails either.
Expect zero support or service. Stay away from these cheats. I'll probably get some negs but you've been warned!

    • +4

Precisely why if it’s similar money I’d rather buy from amazon.

      • +1

Agreed. Better protection from Amazon, no doubt as they are bound by the ACL whereas direct from OPOLAR isn't.

If the item is sold by a marketplace seller, and that seller exits their marketplace contract, are you then out of luck if you need a replacement under warranty?

    • +1

Same with ours, i think it was used 3 times and then would not charge.
I'm fairly certain it was from this deal:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/636451

      • +1

Mine was also from this deal around the same time: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/636494

It started playing up at the end of December 2021, and completely stopped working in the new year.
I contacted PayPal to lodge a dispute, and they informed me I was like 5 days outside their protection period.

    • Hi, may I know your order number? I will ask Opolar support team to help.

      • PMd

      • +1

I have the exact same problem as @spy.
No response from your company after the 6-month PayPal protection expiry is extremely disappointing.

I have sent you a DM as well.

      • +1

Dear Ainol rep, I'll send the details to you OP. Will report back to my fellow OzBargainers on how it goes. Suggest others do the same. If no success, please never return to Ozbargain and try promote products from these fraudsters here. For your own good. OzBargainers are not gullible fools and have no tolerance for fraudsters. Kind regards
BTW are you a rep for Ainol or Opolar or both?

    • -1

Same issue, sent a quick video to Opolar and their local distributor sent out a replacement - great after-sales service!

      • If you don't mind sharing, how did you contact them if not via [email protected]?

          • +1

@randomdude: You won't get any reply from that email…

            • @BlitzR: Yep no response

              • +1

@spy: That is the only email I can find so far.
They also have an overseas (UK) phone number listed (which they don't pick up during their business hours).

If you google, there are many folks with the same issue as us. Someone on Reddit has already created a thread on this exact issue. Someone there had posted how to re-soldier their dodgy wirings to fix the problem.

How did @randomdude get such prompt service? We must be the unlucky ones.

                • @DoctorCalculon: He's the only Lucky One I know. Several on Reddit and other forums didn't receive or have faulty junk.

                  • +1

                    @spy: I just had a quick read of: https://www.opolar.com/pages/refund-return-policy

Scroll down to 12 Months Repair Warranty.

Customers must pay the shipping fees for returning the item accordingly, while we will cover the shipping fees to send the repaired item back to the customer.

For a warranty job, that is dodgy as ****!

                    • @DoctorCalculon: You don't say.

                    • +1

@DoctorCalculon: Thanks to the power of OzBargain, Opolar seems really concerned about the bad press they are getting here on Ozbargain. I have been promised a replacement being sent without having to send the rubbish one back. Agree though - the policy is dodgy as especially given their poor quality control on this product.

            • @BlitzR: Contact the OP/rep here. He will facilitate a refund for you. Let us know how you go.

    • +2

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I was asked to send picture and videos of it only charging for a few seconds which I did and then I never heard anything more about it. I think I used it once if that. I wont ever buy another Opolar product again.

      • Contact the OP/rep here. He should be able to organise you a replacement. I have been promised it and will report back on how that goes. Hopefully it's doesn't become faulty like the previous one.

    • +2

Same. Mine died after a few uses. My cheap can of compressed air has lasted longer. Wasted money.

      • +1

Yep I'm back to Kmart compressed air cans after being the victim of this Opolar heist. No fan and a faulty air blower to show for my $$$$.

      • +1

Contact the OP/rep here. He should be able to organise you a replacement. I have been promised it and will report back on how that goes. Hopefully it's not faulty like the previous one.

        • Thanks for the update, i will try the same.

          • @Scootex: UPDATE: After talking to the OP and Support, they are sending me a replacement unit. Glad to see they are making it right. Will update once received.

            • @Scootex: I have received my replacement. Thanks to the OP and Opolar support.

  • I've been using this for about 6 months - no issues and I love it. Paired with a robot vacuum it's a kinda funny way to clean - just blow dust and stuff onto the floor and send the robot off to deal with it. Or blow stuff out of corners the robot doesn't quite get to.

  • +6

Warning… I made a purchase when they had a sale last time but never received the product when though I sent numerous emails! Others have had the same issue.

    • Hi, may I know your order number? I will ask Opolar support team to help.

    • If you paid via PayPal, you could have raised a dispute regarding non-shipment (within 6 months from date of purchase only).

      • I simply forgot to follow up but when I did no response. Why wouldn't these fkers just refund if not fulfilling order???

    • Contact the OP/rep here. He will facilitate a refund for you. Let us know how you go.

  • +1

Workmate has one of these, at first you think its good, but then over time realise its a semi gimmick which isnt strong enough.

  • +5

When I was looking for something for my PC, and keyboard cleaning duties, I opted for an alternative. Because of all the Ozito products appearing here … thanks … I ended up adding this to my collection, https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-high-volu… . I don't know how it compares to this product, but it's been going for quite a while and obviously backed by the 5 year warranty.

    • Never knew that existed! I'm going to purchase one tomorrow!

      • +2

Its not the same as canned air, but it's been enough to get the job done.

      • I'm tempted as well!

        • Goods thing is, if the pressure isn't sufficient, bunnings has easy returns.

          • +1

@BlitzR: It's basically like the Ryobi one.

There's a video here, on what that one is like.

            https://youtu.be/sKhvssNbhTc?t=250

          • @BlitzR: Locked into the Ryobi + range and noticed they do one as well, albeit more expensive. Saves me buying an Ozoto 2.0ah batt and charger though

            https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-volume-inflator-sk…

            • @Goldberg: I have the Ryobi one and it's fine for inflating things. It's basically useless for blowing out dust. Nowhere near enough pressure on the narrowest nozzle.

The fan in the deal (assuming it's the same as my rebranded one from Amazon) is at least several times the grunt.

          • @BlitzR: And a five year warranty compared to zero for this Opolar junk.

        • +2

Save your money. Have one of these and it does not have the oomph that is needed. YMMV but a compressed air can can do it better and ready when you are.

      • Remember it's only a skin (No 🔋)

  • Found a review for the 2in1 amazon one that was mentioned at the start of the thread. Looks impressive.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTOJyZEUgLg

  • at almost 9 levels strong gale

    What does this even mean?

for deep cleaning of the microscopic dust of 0.9-1.1oz.

Are you suggesting that microscopic dust weighs about an ounce? (~30g)

    30 minutes of thorough usage
charged faster with a 2A adapter (not included). With a reduced charging time of around 3 hours,
charged via the USB-port makes it perfect for uninterrupted use

So it takes 30min to drain the battery and 3 hours to charge (assuming we buy a better charger) but somehow we get uninterrupted use?

The device is structured with an extended full-palm gripping design and withdrawable nozzle keeping the handhold clear to let users grip it at their comfort.

    It's got a handle?

I won't even bother with paragraph 5… It's absolute cow manure. (even more so than the rest)

Bought one and never received the product. No reply email from the seller. Need to dispute through paypal to get my money back.

      • Paypal already refund the $, I got no reply from opolar. Thanks for your reply.

Kmart sell mattress inflators for between $12-$25 which do the same thing as this. I've had the one that's currently $12 on clearance for a few years and it's great for blowing out dusty keyboards and PCs, cleaning dust out of radiators, stoking campfires etc. I attached half a metre of flexible tubing to the nozzle so it can reach into tight spots.

    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/high-power-rechargeable-air…

    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/rechargeable-air-pump-42721…

They also have a $20 version that plugs into the wall if you don't need something portable. Handy if you always use it in the workshop and don't want to bother with the batteries dying after a few years of occasional use:

    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/ac-240-volt-air-pump-424948…

    "deluxe" version here:
    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/ac-air-pump-43089611/

EDIT: Kmart ones also have a suction feature, if you attach a nozzle or tube to the inlet. Very helpful for sucking air out of packaging, deflating air mattresses so they can be easily folded up, deflating pool toys for storage.

The fan I'd ordered for USD$20 but was never shipped not refunded:
OPOLAR Clip on Fan | 10000 mAh Rechargeable Battery, 8 inch - Blue
Got sucked in by a 50% discount offer, which turned out to be a 100% theft. Scumbags Opolar have no ethics. If they don't ship, why not just refund?
Their business model is clear. Charge people money. Don't ship. Only refund 10% that actually follow up SUCCESSFULLY. Fk the rest.

i have this product. its rubbish.

  • I’ve been lucky. I have this and it works well. It’s good for blowing my laptop keyboard clean. I use it everyday. I also have used their desk fans for many years and find them super quiet and reliable. I actually replaced a $70 muji usb fan that was noisy and broke with one of Opolar fans and it’s night and day. Not only cheaper but more blowing power and silent.

  • I've had this for almost 2 years now and it's not bad. Don't use it in comparison to compressed air - the "blast" from the compressed air can't exactly be replicated (pressure change) through a turbo fan like this. But for steady streams of air, it actually works very well. I use it to clean my computer / laptops / fans and works well in that perspective.

UPDATE: Thanks to the escalation by OP/rep here, my refund for the undelivered fan has been processed. The replacement for this air duster/blower is being progressed too as promised by Ann from Opolar . I shall provide an update once received.

    • Thanks for the update. I've send the OP a message. Lets hope I get a response.

      • Hi Scootex, PM replied.

        • UPDATE: After talking to the OP and Support, they are sending me a replacement unit. Glad to see they are making it right. Will update once received.

@Scootex: I have received my replacement. Thanks to the OP and Opolar support.

      Glad to help :)

    • +1

Lets hope the replacement air duster doesn't have the same issue. Works for 6 months, and then breaks down again.

    • +1

      UPDATE:

I have to say OP (@denghongterry) has been really helpful with prompt responses and follow ups.

They have promised to send a replacement unit (as mentioned by others here as well).

If it does arrive, and the machine doesn't break down after 6 months, I will eat my own words.

Thank you for going the extra mile here, OP.

    • +1

The rep who contacted me from OPOLAR stated in their last email that they would provide a shipping tracking number for the replacement unit.
      So far, nothing!

Did you receive your tracking number?

      • Yes I did upon request. Now delivered.
