The game is not $19.45 on the eShop, that’s only the price to upgrade the game to the deluxe edition. The game is still $84.95 on the eShop, so $49 for the physical edition is a good price. Your current title of ‘[Nintendo Switch] Life Is Strange 3: True Colors - A$49 (was A$79; A$19.45 on Nintendo E-shop)’ is misleading though.

Good correction. I already did a lot of work to share other info that was correct and helpful.

It's not misleading, that part was just wrong.

  • Free on Xbox game pass.. Nintendo is such a rip off

    • There is a monthly subscription fee to have access to Xbox game pass?

      That’s not a fair comparison
It’s like saying a Blu-Ray Movie is a rip-off because a movie is “free” on Netflix.
However you aren’t completely wrong, the Nintendo licensing costs make Switch games pretty expensive

    • Yeah, the cost of the carts can be stupid. It's basically just an expensive SD card. The only reason to do it so to be able to sell it later, or share the game with other users on the same console.

I'm almost every other case, buying on eshop and using an SD card (which you can backup) is cheaper.

      • To be fair, you can't resell an eshop purchase though if you were going that way.

    It's price matching JB?
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/nintendo-switch-life-is-s…

So if some ppl want to use the JB perks $10 discount it brings the game down to $39

  • tried it on xbox game pass, not bad although definitely less than 10 hours of game

    • i am tempted to get it, but with only 10hrs of gameplay, i don't know if i should get it

Games that are heavily narrative based have little replay value in my experience. Xbox Gamepass is great for these kinds of games imo. Otherwise you could resell after playing
Avoid digital unless it’s really cheap

      • Most of these narrative/story games that are heavily cutscene based are sub 10 hours, (Beyond, Heavy rain, Until Dawn, Detroit) and to me that's a good thing - games that say they have 200 hours often have a ton of grinding that pushes me away from that game altogether.
