WD Black SN850 WDS100T1XHE 1TB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD - With Heatsink - $199 + $7.99 Delivery ($0 SYD C&C/ mVIP) @ Mwave

240

Cheapest I think it's ever been. Sub-$200 for a PS5 compatible 1TB SSD is quite a steal.

    This vs Samsung 980 Pro?

(Already Bought the 980 Pro with promotion)

    • Not much, slightly faster write speeds on this one but nothing you'll notice, especially on PS5.

    • I have both, much the same but for PC I like Samsung Magician (not that its needed for anything really). Warranty process on WD is apparently miles better though, Samsung apparently very slow. The WD is slightly faster in benchmarks.

  • I bought about 5 weeks ago from Amazon US for 166.00 AUD for SN870 to upgrade my 2015 Macbook Pro,

    • There's no such thing as the SN870 AFAIK. Do you mean the SN770? If so it's DRAM0less although does have quite good performance especially at 2TB. Still not comparable to this though although for most purposes isn't going to matter. But then the same could be said for a decent gen 3 especially if you have a gen 3 device as I suspect your 2015 Mac Book must be. Although for a laptop you will want power efficiency so your options are more limited, possibly the Hynix P31 is your best bet if you can get it at a decent price.
