    Is that QLD only?
I can't find it in Vic catalog

    • There are no State catalogs.
IGA is an group of Independently run Grocer operators.
So stores even in same city are operated by different chains - so may have different sales, prices & loyalty program.

      Me neither.

Shame, $7/L for olive oil is very good these days

    • probably.. especially market day sales are always only a certain state.

      • sales are always only a certain state store chain
So neighbouring stores may be operated by different group under the IGA logo, so have different offers.
Hence the name Independent Grocers of Australia

        • You can search the catalogues online.. all stores in QLD have the same olive oil market day sale.

          • @Savas: all stores in QLD have
Need to specify your store for catalog. That takes a lot of checking of each store's catalog for a State!

            Already checked.
My local in Brisbane doesn't! Not even a Market Day catalog. "Not on" - according to that store.

Common mistake in IGA Deals, to believe IGA (group of Independent businesses under IGA Logo) operate like Coles & Woolies.

            • @INFIDEL: does your catalogue say "Local Grocer" at the top? They don't seem participating.. never even heard of them before.

              • +1

@Savas: Yes. "Local" is a major part of IGA marketing.

IGA operate under a few different categories of stores from (smaller) Local Grocer & X-Press, to Super IGA (larger supermarket).

IGA grew from small local stores (Local Grocer) to market & purchase together under "Independent Grocers of Australia" (owned by Metcash) - to compete with bigger operators.

Now over 1400 stores - mostly small.
But kept its independent owner groups. So are very different to Woolies, Coles, Aldi.

Mine (5min walk from home) is an IGA "Local Grocer". So not participating in Market Day - this time.
Super IGA with this offer is a long way away. But has online shopping.

Differences in IGA stores should be highlighted in IGA Deals.
Just like Woolies supermarket stores have different offers to their smaller Metro stores.

Over years I've pointed out IGA stores are different & have different operator groups - so different offers.

                There are no State catalogs!

  • is the oil any good though?
