    Cracking price that.

  • Works for Ryzen 3700X / MSI Tomahawk B550?

    • +2

yeh should be no problem for any mobo with DDR4

      • Thanks

    • You'd have to check the memory compatible list to see if it's good. It'll run fine but you won't be able to overclock it (XMP).

      • +2

i dont think a single b550 produced ever would fail to run a 3200 c16 rev e kit

  • Fantastic deal, this is ATL clearance level pricing

  • Cheers OP, got a kit

  • Got one as well. Thank

  • Can I mix this with 2 8gb sticks of kingston fury beast 3200 ?

    • +3

you can but running 3200mhz will be unlikely.

    • +1

Better off not to mix. It is also CL16 I believe but I can’t find the timings for the others. Since the Kingston is likely NOT micron rev e die, it will have differences.

      • Would that be the same situation for a different set of Crucial memory? From what I can tell in CPU-Z I'm currently running 2x8gb Crucial DDR-4 3200 CL16 (ct8g4dfs832a.m8fj) Been reading up the last hour or so about timings etc and think I've broken my brain more than before I started looking into it.

        • +1

Nah thats the same stuff. Itll be fine

          • @ATangk: You're my hero. Thanks mate!

    • I tried and I couldn't get the system to boot using a msi mobo

  • Amazing deal

RAM has gotten so cheap nowadays

    • Intel has moved onto DDR5 with Alder Lake and AMD will almost certainly do the same with their upcoming AM5 platform.

When new technologies come out, older outgoing technology becomes cheaper.

      • +1

Let’s hope the same goes with GPUs later this year

      • +3

You can still get brand new DDR3 modules. I suspect DDR4 will be around for a while

    Great thank you :)

  • It's the same ram in my PC, but do I really need 32GB?? mmm…

    • Depends on what you do with your PC. Look at your current free memory in task manager where you have all your apps that you normally use open (Chrome tends to be the biggest hog). If < 50% usage then an additional 16 GB will not make a difference. However if > 50% then get it for the headroom when the apps keep getting bigger.

Also if you like doing things like Virtual Machines then alot of RAM will help when you want to set up a few running at once. These days any new build I go with 32 GB and won't have to think about upgrading that for a long time if ever. Something else might be too slow or out of date before then.

      • I almost feel bad that I made you write that, as my post was just my inner thoughts.

        • No worries really. Inner thoughts become action in a blink ;)

  • /anyone seen ddr4 laptop ram deals lately??

  • purchased same kit earlier in the month. Would I be able to reach 3200mhz or even a small OC if I got a 2nd kit so 4 sticks total. Same model of memory, same timings.

    • Depends on CPU (memory controller) and mobo. In general running 4 sticks will tax them harder, so if you're only just able to support 3200mhz ram, probably not. I'm no expert though, this is just what i've read.

      • Doesn't matter since its out of stock now :)

  • Thanks bought it. Now will see if I can fit it under the CPU cooler tower.

    • they're pretty low profile kits so should fit most coolers

  • Need a similar deal for 2x16GB

    • Crucial have discontinued their DDR4, so its possible.

      • +1

If a 2x16 deal happens ill happily sell my 2x8gb and buy it

  • Did anyone get confirmation of the order? I've paid yesterday, but no info on shipment yet.

    • +1

Got a dispatch confirmation around 11am today. I think I purchased about an hour after this deal was posted

      • Thanks, mate! Got my dispatch confirmation letter around 1pm today! Cheers!

    • When I went to pickup today, they didnt even find my item and I waited almost 40 minutes for my ram sticks…

  • Thanks ;)

Quickest coast to coast shipping and dispatch ever. Under 48 hours! Can't actually remem the last time that happened :o
