DESCRIPTION
The Renogy 200 Watt 12 Volt Monocrystalline Solar Panel is one of the main components for any solar power (PV) system. The panel includes solar leads that extend from the junction box affixed to the back. The solar leads are compatible with the Renogy Solar Adaptor Kit—allowing for a quick and simple connection. Each Renogy 200W Monocrystalline Solar Panel is quality tested to ensure safety and longevity. Built durable for outdoor use, these panels are capable of withstanding heavy snow and strong wind loads. Whether you plan to use the solar panel for seaside travels to the beach or your cabin in the mountains, this panel can be a great start or addition to any Renogy off-grid system!

  • Is this good. I want to try solar charging as I have the aldi battery case

    • No charge controller included

      • +2

        This solar panel is great.
If you hope to charge the battery, maybe you need to order a solar charge controller.

  • +2

27V so will work with most cheap PWM controllers. I would always buy a proper MPPT controller, such as Victron, though.

    • +1

AFAIK PWM is good for lower voltage panels (up to say 18v), charging 12v batteries. Not so good for higher voltage panels and low voltage storage.

  • I have a 30w panel and it's been great so far. beware this panel is massive 1.1 sqm

    • -1

The quality of the product you purchased is very good~

  • Just buy a house panel off Facebook and usea quality controller.way cheaper

    • What controller would it work with?

      • +4

A quality controller from Victron (get one of the SmartSolar ones which have Bluetooth so you can easily configure them via an app on your phone)… not the mis-named Victron BlueSolar range which don't have Bluetooth.

I use Victron for remote solar locations + LiFePO4 batteries (and, prior to that, AGM Lead Acid batteries) for remote Microwave links/security cameras. Not one failure - but it needs a waterproof enclosure.

75/10 or 75/15 good for most single panel installs.

        • Been using mine for a couple of years now for my main and auxiliary battery in the Hilux especially when running the Evakool …

    • -1

House panels have completely different voltage, often not compatible with 12v systems

      • +1

I suspected the same at first but I checked the specs on the Victron SmartSolar regulator and the specs of the grid-connect panels on my roof, ALL GOOD…
(The panels on my roof are 72cells, which is what Victron recommend for a 12v system)

        https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Manual_SmartS…
PV array example 12V battery with 75V solar charger:
        • Minimum number of cells in series: 36 (12V panel).
        • Recommended number of cells for highest controller efficiency: 72 (2x 12V panel in series or 1x 24V panel).
        • Maximum: 108 cells (3x 12V panel in series).

PV array example 24V battery with 100V solar charger:
        • Minimum number of cells in series: 72 (2x 12V panel in series or 1x 24V panel).
        • Maximum: 144 cells (4x 12V panel in series).

        • Interesting thanks for posting.
Good option for used grid connect panels?

Why has the price increased so much since February?

    • +1

Let me guess covid or floods…..

      • Don't forget pallet shortages.

  • How does this compare to something like this? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/294677488171

    • +3

The ebay one is probably 110W at best. It's half the surface area of this Renogy. Depends on your use case and desired watt per dollar spent…

      • +1

Nah its legit 250W Solra energy. Love me some Solra.

        • +1

Don't confuse the quality shingle solra with similar brand single sholra

  • 269$ on eBay so not such a great discount

$1.2 $/watt for Renogy. Why is this a bargain when other PV is cheaper per watt?

  • when the 3000/6000 watt inverter coming on special again

  • More expensive than Average price = $241.33… not a bargain.

    • -1

This is already the cheapest price we can apply for, and our daily price will definitely be higher than this later.
