                • @rwt: Glad that helped!

            • @rwt: If you create an account with the same email your order will appear in your new account. Did for me.

    • Placed order as guest, no confirmation beside PayPal payment receipt.

  • +1

I’d be interested if any of these have actually shipped yet..

    • +2

Ordered mine on Saturday (21/05/2022) and got the order confirmation email but nothing since so assuming it hasn’t been shipped yet

  • +3
    • Quite expensive though compared to this deal

      • +2

        Agreed, this deal was epic!

But the link above does have 30+ boards for under $60 so could be good for some

        • +1

That's true, different brands. But the globes cost so much more.

There is a chocolate complete discounted to around $75 with code if anyone is interested!

          • @JL1: ah yeah no globes unfortunately!

            • @Jono258: You mean left from original deal?

              • @JL1: yeah sorry meant the one I was looking at in original deal (globe cruiser). On that website, with 25% off comes to $86 which is pretty good.

                • +1

@Jono258: Ah yeah! The Globe longboard that I liked is much more expensive though!

                  • +1

                    @JL1: Globe longboard available

                    • @KolzManz: Thank you! Not sure how my wallet feels because now I have bought another skateboard!

Haha damn have a bit of a collection now.

    • +1

      Thanks for the heads up!

I ordered another one (Globe Zuma) from SDS. The extra 25% & free shipping definitely sweetened the deal.

The AusPost tracking email came through from Conveyor too. If all goes well, I'll have two toys delivered by the weekend.

      • Niceeeee

  • What does the "FU" mean in the size 8.25FU? https://conveyorbrands.com/products/grl-completes-wr41-niels…

    • -2

It's measured "from underneath" so its 8.25" high. Think monster truck but a skateboard.

      • +1

Lol you're kidding or serious? Isn't it still the width of board?

    • +2

They probably mean 'Full Shape', which is usually just wider/ rounder in the nose and tail.

  • +4

Just got my shipment tracking email.

    • Didn't get the email but I got the auspost notification, order packed by globe international

      • Expected to arrive on 26/05. Nice!

        • Nothing yet here but good to see emails are coming through so fingers crossed they've got my orders in stock,

  • +1

Got confirmation email in spam box (gmail)

  • Seems like they're clearing them out and stopping some. Before the pages were showing as out of stock and could notify when back in stock and pages now all pulled and 404 error.

Also had a girl in cart as I was contemplating it and it showed like 100 in stock, even now when I modify cart it shows 90 plus but when check out it says out of stock.

  • +1

looks like a lot of boards back in stock now again…

    • +1

Lots of boards back in stock? Really? They are staggering the sales? It was chocolate, almost and enjoi at the beginning then girl and habitat after

  • bought 3 boards as an impulse buy… it's justified if 3 boards costs the same as 1 normally right?? also, bought 2 of em on the 21st and still hasn't shipped yet. i am dying of excitement pls

    • The one I bought on 21 (chocolate) has shipped and should arrive tmr.
Bought a Longboard the 23, still in the backlog

      • huh i got a zoo york and the pink duster cruiser on the 21st but no info yet

  • +1

Dusters Felix Longboard 34" which I brought on the 21st is getting delivered today. Still no update about the other Felix 36" which I brought on the 23rd.

  • I got the confirmation about shipping as well

  • Does anyone know if this is actually a legit store selling genuine stock? Or are these dud brands and the rrp is always marked high to make it look like a bargain?

Deal just seems a little too good to be true - is there a catch? Why would they be selling at a loss?

    • google says some of the brand are pretty top tier ones. someone else in the thread said they're on clearance because no one buys in winter

    • They're definitely good brands, some better than others. My understanding is they're the DFO stores for Globe.

eg Girl Simon Bannerot for $50 is $120 on sale at Kickpush

  • Got notification from auspost the Longboard I bought on 23 is being prepared.

    • Same got my notification on AusPost app. No email from the company.

  • +4

    Just received my order.
Such a good deal for the price.

  • +3

Dusters Chill Longboard Complete 38" is in stock, how could I say no after missing out at first
    https://conveyorbrands.com/products/dus-chill-longboard-blac…

    • Seems like longboards are more popular and sell out first?

  • Same received post notification, delivery in next couple of days, hope it’s a good one

  • Just checked my tracking. Skateboard is now in Tasmania… I'm in NSW.

    • That's no good! Hopefully it sorts itself out.

Got my board delivered today (Sydney).

  • +1

anyone know of good places to skate in sydney?

    • +1

          • +1

@JL1: i got pads from SkatersHQ on their 20% off sale. knees, elbows and wrists for about $70 i think

            correction: $64

            • @grack: Do they still have the sale on? How would they compare to the stuff sold on Amazon?

            • @grack: Sorry wanted to ask, which ones did you get? The skatersHQ brand? I need to check size as I assume not just take my t shirt size?

Need to look for a helmet too in case I stack it hard

              • @JL1: Yeah I got the skatersHQ brand. They have a sizing chart Helmet and pads . Seems like they have a sale on at the moment for around $65. Not sure how it compares to amazon stuff. I measured my arms and legs using a measuring tape to check with sizing chart

          • @JL1: Definitely. Gotta protect these old bones.

  • Got mine earlier in the week. I used to skate as a kid about 30 years ago. I can't believe how light the boards are now. And none of the deck is flat just about. The whole thing is curved. 😐

    • +1

apparently increases deck strength and control. i use concave to feel where my feet are.

cruisers and longboards will typically have a more mellow concave or none at all

    • This is bringing back memories of massive single tail boards that were basically just massive planks of wood!

  • I ordered Chocolate and Girl completes and they are nearly identical. Both have exactly the same nameless trucks, 52 wheels and cheap 608RS ABEC5 bearings (AUD$8 on Amazon). Decks also appear to be identical, just with different graphics, I think they are made in the same factory/woodshop somewhere in China.

If you have one of these boards, I would strongly suggest replacing bearings with something decent (bones, bronson) that can actually spin.

    • +1

according to this list, chocolate and girl decks are made in China, whereas most of the other boards on the conveyor site are either made in the US or Canada, from what i could cross-reference from said list.

agree with you on the bearings. bones "reds" are reasonably priced and reliable

    • Yeah, Chocolate and Girl are from the same distributor 'Crailtap', whereas Almost, Blind, Darkstar, Enjoi, Dusters are all under 'Dwindle' and use the same woodshop, and usually Tensor or Slant trucks.

    • Complete noob here, I got a girl and a chocolate as well, how are the components and the board in general (besides the bearings)? After reading a bit, I landed on those brands over zoo york and enjoi but I'm wondering if those would have been better.

      • +1

Can't comment on the quality of trucks and wheels as I was really interested in the deck only when I bought complete. I re-purposed my existing setup: Thunder trucks, Spitfire Formula Four Conical Full 54mm wheels, and Bones Reds bearings.

I think $50 for a decent deck is a good deal and an even better deal for a whole complete setup. The trucks and wheels seem OK visually but I didn't test them. You may need to adjust the tightness of the trucks as they seem to be very tight. This could be done by loosening the kingpin nut.

        • Thanks! It's my first board and it feels pretty good. Thanks for the tip on the truck nut

          • +1

@Bacons: No worries! I hope you will enjoy skateboarding for many years to come. At some later stage when you will get more comfortable on the board, I would suggest considering switching wheels to a larger diameter (53-54mm) for a more comfortable ride. Also, "conical" and "conical full" shape wheels have a wider ride surface (contact area) which increases overall stability.

    • What happens if not change bearings? Movement not as smooth and slower?

      • +1

        safety issue?

i wouldn't ride it if the bearings were shit, let alone put a beginner on it.

        • Like as in wheel stops spinning and I fall off? Not just wheels rotating slower?

      • +1

You will need to push harder and more often ;)

        • Haha sounds like it will slow down and feel safer but I think there are issues I am not realising like tdw mentioned!

  • There's a Globe 35" longboard now, still $50 delivered.

  • First board delivered, waiting on another. Rides very well. Ordered wrong size protective pads but will probably see the elbows and knees, and keep the wrist guards. Very good deal, thanks for the post

  • Really happy with the duster 36" Longboard. Eats up the miles so easy.

  • +1

    All boards delivered….
    Great stuff.
    https://pasteboard.co/WeMa8fG3LP9r.jpg

    • have you ridden them yet? what did you think?

  • +1

Not yet but definitely quality for the money.
Still too wet to hit the beachfront here !
Gonna roll the carparks tomorrow. I'll let you know what I think 🛹🛹

  • +3

Bunch of Cruiserboards just added to the sale.

    • Yeah, that disaster cruiser is pretty tempting, but I already have 4 boards…

      • I just bought one 🤣 Been 21 years since I was last on one of these bad boys!

  • wow thanks for that OP ! awesome deal

  • +1

Oooh some nice Globe longboards appeared

  • Can't believe that they keep on adding to the stock level. Excellent deal!

  • For an 18 years and 60 months old, would a longboard be ok just for cruising around? And is Globe Bells better or Globe All-Time better?

    • +1

A longboard or one of their other cruisers should do the trick.

Longboards are more stable and easier to learn on.

From the two that you've suggested, I'd probably go for the all-time because it has the RKP trucks which makes turning easier… although I do like the sound of the W concave of the Bells board.

      • Thanks a ton for the insights!!

  • +1

Some new Globes added to sale. Just bought 2. Never skated before!

    • +2

Until OP put up the post last month I had never skated before either. Grabbed 2 street completes back then, and pulled the trigger on a cruiser board today :)

      • +1

Haha I've got 3 coming. How to explain that to the wife.

        • same explanation you gave for eneloops

          • @tdw: Not got onto the eneloops yet.

        • +1

I really really wanted 3 but stopped at 2, chalk it down to mid life crisis

  • +3

Been skating at Moore Park a bit on my girl board, I'm halfway to achieving an Ollie. Hope everyone is having as much fun as I am

    • Nice! New mature age skater here. Practicing in my living room. Can't wait to get out to the park.

      • it's so much better getting out of the house. i scuffed my floorboards a bit skating round the house

        • Good tip! I may ease off indoors and head outside soon!

    • +1

Been having a blast by myself and with my partner :) check out olympic park if you haven't been - heaps of flat ground and empty carparks

      • Thank you! It is my jogging area and hopefully skateboarding area soon! Ismay has some good flat spots.

    • I can now do a shove it !! I bought a popsicle board and a cruiser but the cruiser feels a bit unstable :( i'm enjoying riding around on the popsicle board though

      • Have you tried tightening the kingpin nut on your trucks?

  • Does the skateboard come assembled or do I have to do it?
